The rebel site has given me several tips that have really helped me NOT get to the panic stage near as often. Mostly it taught me to step back and see what was going on - so I would be prepared ahead of time to deal the next episode. I keep Suduko books, scrapbooking, crocheting, and several more bu...

Praying God's blessings on you and your family in 2007, Brenda. Like others, words seem so small and useless at times when we can't relate to the mountains of hurt someone else is enduring. I am so sorry for the loss of your brother as it sounds like he was the one you could turn to when the world g...

Yeah, I wondered why no more studies than this - if it was because of the cost or because not enough people want to endure the needles and time committment. It seems my veins have gotten much worse as my rls increased but that stands (sorry for the pun) to reason since, like now, I've been on my fee...

Anyone heard of or tried vein therapy?

I checked into this about a year ago but due to costs and experimental stages, have not pursued it. The Vein Clinics of America (I think) are treating RLS by injecting a saline solution from upper hip area to ankle, process of 5 appointments, to dissolve vericose and spider veins. Theory was that th...

I should have known not to click on this one here at work coming from you Randy...hard to see to type through the tears. But I thank-you for the reminder that we can not forget those who are not here. It's easy to get busy with our lives and forget they are risking theirs. When I was home just befor...

In my opinion, Rosie is an agendized and thoughtless comedian looking for new material. I don't know how to put someone else's words in the yellow square to comment so just cut and pasted because this "opinion" needs a big AMEN!!! I agree, I will not be writing Rosie and spending my precious time to...

I've been there but still can't get connected. Not sure if it's the mountains here or my slow dial-up but after I hit connect (and wait for ever), it flashes "error in connecting" and goes back to trying to connect again. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing or what It's 11:55 pm here so I'll tr...

I worked with mental health for 5 years and learned quickly that most medications can be used for several different and quite varying symptoms/diagnosis. Wierd, cause I always wondered how the body knows in what way to use the medication Guess it's just more proof of how wonderfully we have been cre...

I'm having trouble getting into the chat room also - once it did open up but I guess no one else was out there at the time, but tonight (or rather this morning at 2am) when I tried, the box or note to let me know the room was open never came up - only the blank white screen...? I clicked on the butt...

Morgan, I am so sorry for your situation (that could easily happen to a lot of us when we have to try different meds often and change doctors since so many don't understand what we really go through! I am a social worker and see parents often that fit this description, but it is quickly identified b...

My mom chickened out. She said it was $50.00 and required 3 initial treatments followed by one every so often to keep things "in order" (she's in Michigan and I'm sure prices vary depending on location). Like you, Hos, I'd be too nervous wondering about the what ifs I sew from time to time and glad ...

I've never tried the CR but use to take 5 mg of the regular ambien and it worked for a while, getting me to sleep but not keeping me there - then I'd be up walkindafloors with my legs feeling like I was sleep walking! I'm fearful of the CR due to the dosage - when the 5 mg didn't seem to work and I'...

Like with most things, no one can truly realize the WORK that goes into it until you've had to do it yourself. I know none of you expect thanks because your heart is in this cause, but I wanted to take this chance to let you know how much I appreciate the time, care and concern I read here each time...

Thanks, Lynne for the tips. I'm flying to Michigan just before Christmas so this is great timing. I've got my stretchy bands to take as well. I'm really NOT looking forward to this trip...I'd never make a 12 hour flight!!!
