Re: Buprenorphine, the good, bad and ugly
Lately my RLS has started again, for about 2 weeks. They wouldn't give me the steroid shot in the right spot. She said she was afraid because of the bone on bone of me my spine as well as the hardware in that area. She did give me 7 lidocaine shots around the lower back area. So that really didn't ...

Re: Melatonin added to the mix
Ann, You said....."I break a 2 mg tablet into 4 pieces and that is all it takes to make me tired within about 45 to 60 minutes after I take it". Do you mean that you take 1/4 of that tablet over a period of time? How much time b/w each 1/4 tab? Thanks! So sorry - I wasn't clear at all. When I use i...

Re: New-Asked to post about treatments
Hi Steve, I started a reply to you and my tablet went wonky and I had some odd keyboard. I was saying that I missed the statement about methadone keeping you awake early on when you were taking it. That's exactly what's happened with me. I've gotten fairly good pain relief but I haven't slept a nor...

Any opioid can cause dental issues. For me, it's dry mouth. I already had a lot of issues, but it's definitely worse with methadone. I already needed full mouth implants and now am a bit concerned to get them.

Re: New-Asked to post about treatments
Wow, my state of mind was not good when I last posted about 10 days ago. I wrote I was on "dopamine 5mg", Methadone is what I meant. It's really not a good opioid for me. I'm using it as needed, 5mg at bedtime if I'm symptom free or have minimal symptoms. 10mg if the pain has gotten ahead of me. If...

Re: Gabapentin post cancer op
I'm currently on 10 mg oxy a day and recovering from my 2nd cancer operation (lobectomy). It's not quite enough but Doc won't go higher dose. He suggested I go on Requip. I believe I tried that before without result. Any thoughts? I don't want to stop the 10mg oxy. I hope the recovery is going well...

Re: New-Asked to post about treatments
I'm in a state of having too many directions to turn to but not in the direction where I should be heading heading yet. I've met with my primary who I've seen the most over time but divided up for a few months while he was on leave and I was in a different hosp for Pulmonary emboli. Back now to my ...

Re: Head roll
I really thought I would be getting more replies. Oh well. It is what it is. I guess I will have to find another way. This will probably be my last post. I hear a lot of people describing their RLS symptoms as a creeping type feeling. That is not what happens to me. My symptoms are like my entire b...

Re: Sorbolene Lotion experience that seems to have worked
I cannot stand ANYTHING to touch my legs - it immediately sets off symptoms. No leggings, no stockings, or my husband's body/hands. Nor can I stand dry skin. I can feel the dry skin, pulling and prickling as I try to go to sleep and that makes the sensations start. Since I was a teen, I've hydrated ...

Re: Head roll
Hi Tim63 - thank you for sharing your story. I have not heard of that related to WED/RLS. When I was a toddler through early school age, I moved all over the bed. I'd wake up with my head where my feet should be, and so on. No adult would sleep with me. Covers never stayed on the bed. That stopped w...

Ann, in one of the posts on here you talk about having a hard time not forgiving yourself for being on a DA for so long. Maybe it will make you feel better if you know that the horrific early experiences you had were what convinced me to stay far away from the DA's. I can't even tell you how many d...

Re: New-Asked to post about treatments
There are a few people here who get their WED/RLS treated at pain clinics. Squirming Susan was one of them - unsure if they still do or not. And some of the Quality Care docs will work with your PCP or other doctor - that is likely the best of all worlds IF your doc will work with the Quality Care d...
