Re: For those in North America - GO CUBS, GO!
I was brought up as an Orioles fan and became a naturalized Red Sox fan when I moved to Boston. I loved going to Fenway Park to take in a game. Back in the seventies, I don't even remember who they played in the World Series but Red Sox fans said they won three games to four. They actually lost but ...

Congratulations to all Cubs fans who must be baseball's most loyal. That was certainly one of the best World Series ever.

Re: Whacha readin?
I usually read mysteries and detective novels, fun while they last but not inspiring. Recently I read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah From Wikipedia: " It tells the story of two sisters, just coming of age in France on the eve of World War II, and their struggle to survive and resist the Germ...

"borderline crazy" is something anyone with bad-severe RLS can easily understand.

Great idea using the video camera. Try wearing a sleep mask so the light doesn't bother you.

Re: Ropinirole + trazadone + clonazepam
At first it was a miracle My words exactly. How many have said that after starting on a DA? And my prescription said to keep taking it up to 4mg but luckily I was on this forum and caught the augmentation in time which stopped me getting on the drug roller coaster. I still have symptoms every night...

Waking abruptly vs gradually
Over the past few months I've noticed that when I wake up abruptly, for instance if a phone rings in the night or an alarm goes off, I have no RLS symptoms. Every time I wake up naturally (several times a night and in the morning), I have symptoms requiring me to get up and stretch and/or read for a...

Re: HAVING A RANT ABOUT UK NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
Interesting links, thanks for posting them. I didn't care for the brothers much mainly because I don't like to spend four times as long watching something as I could just reading the text. One article (maybe more) talked about too many unnecessary tests in the US which is certainly true. I used to g...

Re: HAVING A RANT ABOUT UK NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
I think the problem with expensive medical care in the US isn't because of the doctors or medical system, it's the litigious society. In New Zealand it's almost the opposite. Because of ACC "Accident Compensation Corporation", a government run scheme, it's almost impossible for anyone to s...

Re: Compression tights
To prepare for a flight once I put on an old pair of compression tights from a previous operation. I had to wiggle out of them before the plane had even taken off--I hated the feeling. My husband does not have RLS. He has cancer and it is affecting his nerves that control his left foot. The Adidas s...

Re: Compression tights
Not compression tights, but my husband has been wearing Adidas Running Energy Compression Thin Cushioned socks. They feature an anatomically specific left and right foot design, with arch and ankle support and a compression fit. They are knee high and don't fall down. They stimulate blood flow in hi...

Re: Arthritis and RLS
In New Zealand, like the UK, our health care is "free" but I prefer saying it is paid for by the taxpayer. Emergency care is first class but "quality of life" care such as joint replacements, heart and hernia procedures can take a long long time.
