you're right, it has a 6 hr half-life compared to 2-3 for Ambien. I originally asked for Ambien but can't get it in Canada. I love the zopiclone tho, as long as I'm not having bad RLS, which just rips the sh.t out of the zopiclone. But otherwise, it sends me through the night with no after-effects o...

So it's OK to mix oxycodone and codeine? I wasn't sure. You won't believe the wonderful sleep I had last night on 0.25 Mira and one Pct (and a zopiclone which is like Ambien) : six whole hours without any interuption; real sleep! I think it really must have been withdrawal the last week and a bit. T...

I understand totally what you say about feigning ignorance, and phrasing questions in a - - a respectful way. I have trouble with feeling them out to find out how much experience they have; this neuro was the first I had to try that with and I didn't figure out soon enough that he actually had some ...

I have both of Dr. B's books, and every other book I think that has ever been printed on RLS, and some on sleep and movement disorders. I have too much information. I am scared when I see a physician that I have knowledge he should have, without the understanding of how to apply it that he would hav...

For what it's worth: when/if you start Lyrica or Neurontin, be on the look-out for feelings of depression and thoughts of suicide. It's a known side-effect that the FDA only just ordered to be put on the labels for Neuronin. It only affects a tiny percentage of people (but I was one of them). I can'...

Ann, Susan, Betty, PolarBear, dogeyed, and everyone who didn't respond because so many already had: Thank you. I am feeling so much better, I think because I cried out loud (I am trying not to be embarrassed but I am - but I'm relieved too), and because I've actually been sleeping the last 3 nights ...

I am feeling better today, but it comes and goes. Thanks to all of you from the bottom of my heart, I don't know if it does any good but at least it makes me remember there are humans who care and KNOW (even if my new neuro is not one of them). (He must care, how could he not? He just doesn't know.)...

death is the answer?
I don't know how you guys can stand it, can still be upbeat and keep on trying. I try and try to see the point and I can't. I can't stand it anymore, and it's only been a little over 2 years really bad. Nothing works, I've been thru the dopamine agonists, the suicide drug (gabapentin - that was fun)...

Re the quality of life letter. That's a really good idea. Someone told me about those a few months ago, before I lost my doctor; I thought of it as something I'd like to do just so people *knew*. But you're so right; it could be an effective way of beginning a relationahip with a new doctor. Especia...
