Emily - I totally get what you are talking about. I have had a particularly rough week and when I got up this morning and looked in the mirror, all I could think was, "Ugh! I don't think there is enough make up to hide those dark circles and bags." We're kind of like that Garth Brooks song - "Much t...

Supplements
I know that a number of folks on the Board use supplements such as Iron and Magnesium to offset RLS symptoms. I have been on Neurontin and Ultram for several months now, but the Ultram is just not as effective as I would like for it to be in controlling my symptoms. I'd like to try adding iron and/o...

I will be with you in spirit and will be anxiously awaiting word from the doctor. I'm sorry that you are struggling with this problem. Please let me know if I can do anyth...

My RLS has always presented primarily in my feet, although I also have it in my legs and occasionaly my wrists. Having someone massage my feet often helps, but mainly I can only find relief with medication and movement. One can often find me hopping around in the back of the movie theater in an atte...

Welcome, blond. Do not allow an uninformed physician to convince you to accept less than the best possible healthcare. You know your own body better than anyone. There are so many options out there for treatment and there is a good chance that you can find one that works for you if you can find a do...

Am I mistaken, or is codeine not actually stronger than Tramadol? In the States, I think codeine falls in the "controlled substance" category, whereas Tramadol does not. I might be wrong on this, though. Tramadol works for my RLS and I'm allergic to codeine so I don't take it. I just didn't want you...

Thank you all so much for your support. This is such a strong group. RLS can make you strong in many areas and I think having to fight for yourself with regard to your healthcare leads to a willingness to fight for yourself with regard to other parts of your life. I just have yet to make the transit...

As many of you know, I went through a very painful divorce back in August. I had a difficult time for a while, but I am right as rain now and grateful to my ex-husband for deciding he'd never been in love with me. I'm happier now than I have been in ages. I am dating a wonderful man who treats me li...

Welcome, Seth. First, don't worry about the length of your post. There have been many of us who have posted much longer ones and one of the things we do for each other is listen. My suggestion would be to head straight to the "New to RLS" section and read as much as you can, particuarly the sticky p...
