Re: Recent restrictions on length of opioid prescriptions

Having a 'cushion' is a comfort to us, it's our safety net.
How much worse would our quality of life be if there is no safety net and no way to build one.

Re: Recent restrictions on length of opioid prescriptions

Just from an administrative point of view, if a prescription is issued for only one week that is 4 x per month, versus once per month. 4 times the admin. 4 times the cost of doctor writing the script, 4 x pharmacist issuing the script. 4 x Fuel and time for the patient. In your case debs... a 120 mi...

Not so fun times - the positive is that you've exercised 16 miles. I'd rather have peaceful legs and sleep.

Re: What kind of doctor for RLS?

barbeegee = I would never want to encourage a sufferer to take a medication that they did not want to take. And I do understand that some people don't want to take opioids for their own various reasons. If I understand it properly your feelings about opioids are: You have taken oxycodone while in ho...

Re: What kind of doctor for RLS?

What have you to lose by going to see a local neurologist who treats RLS. You fear that because they also treat epilepsy and parkinson's this will affect how they treat RLS. Going to an appointment and discussing your situation may lead to something positive, and you don't have to agree to take a me...

Re: Imobilizer legs and RLS

This sounds like a situation of nightmares and I hope you do have a sympathetic doctor. Have the hospital doctors any understanding of your RLS and symptoms, have they tried to help you. Are you still in hospital? I'd suggest a discussion with your doctor (possibly your GP)and ask for extra help wit...

However, because of the ongoing difficulties with my new iphone 6SE my son put a new battery into the old iphone 5 and lo and...

1 May 2018 Today we welcome - Christyh - who finds that rls has robbed all quality of life. For almost 20 years Christyh has taken Requip so throws up nightly. Re: Medical Marijuana

I agree that with RLS you just never know, but in the meantime..... how wonderful for you. To quote you "I feel like a new person" - doesn't that just say it all. I hope this continues to work for you. My feet would also be cold and I'm a fan of the hot water bottle though I can't say that...

Re: What Calms You in the Night?

I play Solitaire on my Kindle while walking.
The worst is if my legs are exhausted and aching, so I really need to sit/lie down but also really need to walk.
It usually takes about 30/45 minutes.

That'll teach me not to do posting and trying to concentrate while standing at the computer and trying to dance off rls s...

Re: CBD oil

i haven't used the CBD oil. I did a google search and it appears to be that the Preparations are made in varied concentrations, so to speak of ' drops' doesn't tell what dose, or how many mgs you took. Is there an advice leaflet in your packaging, does it tell how to measure your CBD oil intake. Or ...

snodove3 - no need to apologise. We all understand how hard it can get. Especially when you are uncertain if you do, or do not, have a particular condition. This is a list of questions to help decide if you have RLS. The most important questions however are those in the post above of ViewsAskew. 1. ...
