Re: Another dumb pharmacy trip

I know it's not actually funny. It just struck me as funny because grinning makes a person seem "gamey" and even more guilty, when in fact I have nothing to feel guilty over.

Hmmmm... funny peculiar - as opposed to funny ha-ha

Re: Progress with my local doctor?

Steve I agree absolutely. I am very organised and thorough, see things through to the end. Hate it if a job is done (by someone) in a half hearted fashion. It frustrates me totally to not have answers, in particular to have seen a neurologist who couldn't have given two tuppenny damns about my sympt...

Re: Thanks for the add Rustsmith

JoLyn - Dr Mark Buchfuhrer is in Southern California and he is most definitely a wonderful man to see if at all possible. He is a Sleep and RLS Specialist and is heavily involved in the treatment of this condition. I am in a rush just now and don't have the contact details just at the moment but I'm...

Re: Meds Me Mum bought me

diphenhydramine is an antihistamine and might be expected to make you sleepy. However antihistamines are not good for RLS especially the older type. My GP prescribed me an antihistamine (can't recall which one) to aid sleep and I said no for a long time. In the end I tried it to placate him and get ...

Re: Mental RLS triggers

Realising that I don't have symptoms at the moment i.e. thinking about it !! As if the symptoms are always just bubbling away in the background wailing on a 'Hello'.

I also agree that it's helpful to keep skin moisturised. If my skin gets to feeling a bit dry I feel more vulnerable to my rls symptoms.

Re: Tramadol while tapering Sinemet

Tramadol also works for me. I use cocodamol as part of my medication cocktail together with ER Tramadol 50mg x 2. For any breakthrough a furthr 50mg tramadol works wonders - this 50mg Tramadol is not now part of my prescription but is part of my stash which is slowly depleting. Previously I was usin...

Very much a poisoned chalice in order to receive appropriate treatment. So many what ifs, with no answers.
