Yes, 2 days on the steroid which reduces the inflammation and all the stabbing pains have gone, just a very low grade headache that doesn't need any painkillers. Go back to the doc in a week for repeat bloods to check that the steroid is dealing with the inflammation ok. And take it from there. Have...

This is what is sooooo... good about this site, before you know it someone is there with advice. Ann and Scarlett, I so sympathise. Ann I understand that it is your new meds that are the cause, kind of between a rock and a hard place. What way to turn is a dilemma. I haven't started any new meds. La...

Many years ago I used to have migraines but it is possibly 12 years since I had one, rarely even have a headache nowadays. Yes, physio mentioned it was like a tension headache but coming from the neck muscles being so knotted. Hmmm... I've been using a heated wheatbag, never thought of ice. Tho in m...

Scarlett you have quite a lot to contend with and you always seem to be keeping your spirits well up. I know you have mentioned depression but a thread of hope is always woven within your posts - lets hope your low times lessen and fade. Fingers crossed your sleep study results show something of ben...

On Saturday I arrived home from a brilliant holiday in Jersey, Channel Islands, just off the coast of France. Well relaxed and ready for our 3 houseguests who were arriving the next morning f...

Benadryl... aaaghhh.... When I have for instance, cold symptoms, I just don't take anything for fear of upsetting my rls, which is already 24/7. But the pain of a sinus headache is very severe and you'd need something for relief. I will bear in mind the Sudafed non-drowsy for the future. Sorry I can...

Have you spoken with a local pharmacist.

An email to Dr B may provide a suggestion. Sometimes he replies within a few hours.

Doety, like you I am retired and this has made dealing with my lack of sleep issue so much easier. I don't really ever nap during the day but without the pressure of paid employment being tired is not the problem that it used to be. Sleep is usually a total of about 4 - 5 hours per night, but often ...
