Yes. That's what I had been doing. Up until a few weeks ago when I was put on Neurontin for neuropathy. I had been taking Xanax .5mg only at night to get to sleep. I don't know if it made me drowsy or not, but it definitely allowed me to relax. And since I was already sleep deprived I would get slee...

Having had a reminder experience last night: Fevers. Fevers make my RLS suck really badly. Really, really badly. Interesting. My one experience with fever was pretty neutral, I didn't have any increase. Earlier this year (while on a business trip, no less) I had a bad urinary tract infection and wa...

This will be my third day on Neurontin (300mg a day). It's been unpleasant but not unbearable. The first day I was light-headed and fatigued. Last night I made the mistake of taking it an hour before heading upstairs to bed hoping to get a head start, but the dizziness washed over me and I couldn't ...

I think he's right about the neuropathy. I've experienced other long term side effects of chemo. I can't complain though because I'm still alive. I was 17 when diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and the only side effect that really caught my attention back then was the hair loss. The bald look was...

Update: Saw the neuro today. After the tests, minus the sleep study, he said that I have peripheral neuropathy (nervous system dysfunction) in both legs. He believes that the root cause is probably a long term side effect of the chemotherapy treatments I had over 26 years ago. Since I've never had a...

I've experienced that sleep wave once or twice. The last was maybe 10 years ago which was pre-RLS and pre any medications. I was on business in Miami and wasn't due in the office until mid-afternoon. I arrived the night before, so I slept late at the hotel, had breakfast then watched TV for a while,...

Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't sitting in an icy cold bath or river tend to decrease the circulation and numb the extremity that was in the water (hypothermia)? If you're in long enough to where the numbness sets in I'm sure you're brain isn't worrying about RLS symptoms at that point, so yes you ...
