Re: zen meditation

Most kinds of yoga have lots of movement; stretching, balancing, and strengthening poses, so they aren't really RLS-unfriendly. I did have problems with some of them, the deep forward bends from sitting positions, which I still can't do at certain times; they really trigger the RLS. Also for some re...

Re: zen meditation

I get a bit leery when people recommend things to reduce stress and anxiety. They hear about RLS, and think we need to relax more. (This came to mind because I was reading a few posts back where peanut's friend recommended the flower remedy.) Well, stress does make the RLS/WED worse, so techniques f...

Re: RLS and hormones

yes, both pregnancy and pre-period (or for some people, during period) are times of increased RLS. Has to do with hormones I would think.

Re: Far Fetched Question

The people who make documentaries are just common folk like you and me. Like newspaper reporters. They make lots of mistakes. And some of them care more than others about being accurate.

Re: my meds never work

I know why I missed that - because I'm not late-onset so I subconsciuosly focus more on my own type of the disorder when I read things. Thanks corrie.

Re: Nightly Sinemet with hydromorphone...will I regret?

The only thing that seems true is that we can't make generalizations about how meds will affect anyone. So it's worth giving something a shot.

Re: Far Fetched Question

I just looked up a little bit about it, because I didn't think iron-containing molecules were involved, and they're not. It's hydrogen atoms that are involved, specifically their nuclei. But that doesn't alter the substance of your question. Hydrogen is a component of lots of different molecules in ...

Re: Nightly Sinemet with hydromorphone...will I regret?

that's a good idea, Ann. Maybe I'll give it up on weekends or something. I sure would like to hear of anyone else using Sinemet in this way, if anyone else on earth is. I chose not to use the DAs because pramipexole makes me sleepy and I augmented on ropinirole. Maybe I will end up thinking one of t...

Nightly Sinemet with hydromorphone...will I regret?

I've been taking the occasional pill of levo-carbidopa 10/100 (aka Sinemet) as needed to deal with breakthrough symptoms for a while now.-- [oops it;s 25/100 - I'm sureit used to be 10/100 - oh welll--]- But I recently began what I think of as a dangerous experiment. My main medication is hydromorph...

Re: Christmas 2012

Oh you're going to have to tell us what it's like. I didn't know such things existed as theatre performances of entire shows in pantomime. What a blast for a little kid! Wish you could send pictures (why don't you dress up as the fairy godmother???)
