Re: Just joined...

I am taking 325mg ferrous sulfate with 500 mgs vit c. Okay augmentation sounds completely unbearable. My doctor knows nothing about WED, the first bad episode I had I told her it was in my arms and legs and she told me RLS doesn't happen in your arms. I have Kaiser insurance and she is my 3rd pcp an...

Re: The unspeakable

Hi Charley, I think I need to just wait out the side affects as most meds take a week or more for your body to get used to. I did try cutting my dose in half to see if I felt nauseous in morning but it didn't help. I am so confused about my even taking Mirapex since my ferritin level is 55 and I gue...

Re: Mixing drugs can be dangerous

Polar Bear-I am happy that it works for you. I know the dose I was given was very low, for sleep and not for depression which is much higher dose. Lucky your doctor is aware, can't tell you how many times I have had doctors try and prescribe antihistamines which I cannot tolerate at all and they see...

Also the Mirapex or the trazadone have helped a lot, I feel like crap in morning but I am hoping those symptoms go away soon.

Re: Just joined...

What do doctors who know about WED/RLS recommend you take if ferritin level is below 100? Opiates not an option for me, serious family history of opiate addiction.

Polar Bear amitriptyline made me have my first horrible bout of rls like 20 years ago. I read tricyclics can do that? I know everyone acts differently to meds but I was surprised you are using that with success.

As far as my low bp and heart rate my doctor ordered a heart monitor so see what is up with that.

Has this been new since you have been taking the Mirapex (my hear rate went nuts on it )?

My low heart rate and bp started at the end of June, before rls/wed started.

Re: Just joined...

I shouldn't say this because I'm not a doctor....but please take the smallest dose possible of pramipexole (Mirapex) at first. If she prescribed .25 mg, cut that in half or even quarters. If she prescribed .125, do try to cut it in half. Side effects are related to dose sometimes, so starting low a...

I live in Washington state where it has recently become legal to smoke and have small quantity of marijuana. Unlike in Oregon where you have to have a medical marijuana card to use it. I haven't used any for a long time because I have kids and its being illegal but have tried it recently for my rls....

Re: Close Minded Doctor

Methadone is used for pain control quite often, it is not always for heroine or opiate addicts. It lasts longer and can be better tolerated then many opiates. Anyone who takes methadone and has to have surgery or see another doctor need to do two things. First have prescribing doctors contact surgeo...

Re: Just joined...

I just saw my doctor, she prescribed Mirapex for rls and trazadone to help sleep. It sounds like the Mirapex works like requip and she didn't have much hope that it would work any better then the requip did. I do know doctors don't know drugs like pharmacists do so I asked the pharmacist a lot of qu...

Re: Just joined...

It seems the supplement isn't working or it didn't yesterday. Last night I literally go zero hours of sleep. It could be mowing the lawn, doing yard work in 84 degree weather. I probable over did it a bit. Not capered to my usual 8 hours working in the yard. My husband is a fire fighter and left for...

I am a 44 year old female with off and on issues with rls. My dad and sister also have it. I had first episode when pregnant or any time I took any antihistamines. Although I have it all the time it doesn't always bother me. It seems like when I am sleep deprived it gets worse, which is horrible sin...

I just got my 10 day free supply so I started it yesterday. Its weird but when I am not having issues with RLS I normally twitch really hard a few times right as I am falling asleep, this doesn't happen when my RLS is acting up. First thing I noticed about 20 minutes after taking it was a bubbly fee...
