Getting off Neupro Patch

After close to 18 months on the Neupro patch, I am getting off. It worked beautifully for about a year but the last 6 months have been a roller coaster. I started to get rashes on the patch site and in the last month these rashes have moved on to welts. Also, it has become less effective with my sym...

Re: Augmentation on Neupro vs augmentation on pramixepole

As much as I hate to admit it I think I'm augmenting on the Neupro Patch. I augmented on the other DA's and Neupro was the last chance. I currently am on 1 mg having come down from 2. I also take oxycodone 7.5 and that helps relieve the symptoms. I have found that OxyContin CR 10mg does very little ...

Re: Very Sad

This is so sad. You and your husband were there for him and gave him love and comfort as he passed. Two years ago we had to put our 11 year old yellow lab down as she was suffering with cancer. I stayed with her at the vets until she stopped breathing. My husband was so overwrought he couldn't bear ...

Re: where is everyone?

Betty, Thanks for the laugh! I had to somehow laugh silently because I didn't want to wake my husband.

Re: Any luck with a sleep study?

I have had 2 sleep studies, one in San Diego at my specialists and one up here in Idaho with a local sleep/neurologist. The first was done to observe my rls and see what else was going on. I was found to have sleep apnea. My doctor up here wanted one to determine if my opioids would adversely affect...

Re: Neupro and Anxiety

Yes, I have had only 1 brief attack since I last posted. I think that being up all night with symptoms vs anxiety I would choose being up all night. But, maybe I won't need to decided. Hopefully that was a side effect that has come and gone. Thanks for your concern.

Re: Neupro and Anxiety

Steve, I have messaged my doctor. I'm leaving the patch off tonight to see if there is a difference.

Neupro and Anxiety

I have been on the Neupro Patch, 1mg every 24 hours, for close to a month with great success. I am starting to wake up with anxiety attacks during the night and also experienced them during the day. I had this reaction while on Ropinirole. I am wondering if anyone else has had this side-effect?

Re: refractory rls and psoriasis relationship

I have plaque psoriasis on my scalp. I've had it for about 10 years. It absolutely can drive me crazy along with not being able to wear dark shirts.

Re: Oils

I have tired several oils using a diffuser. They smell nice but I haven't seen any effect on my RLS. I have a sweet daughter-in-law who is quite knowledgeable on this subject and she has tried several combinations to no avail. The best I can say is that I found them to be comforting.

Re: RLS Patient Symposium

I was without a stash until recently. I am on oxycodone 7.5/3.25 that I take midday. I found that I often was taking it also at 4:00am because of pain and rls. My PA prescribed enough for me to take 2 a day if needed so now I am building up a small stash. I feel better having that. I helped me throu...

Re: Back Surgery and RLS plus spasms

I hope this surgery is successful and the recovery is not as difficult as you anticipate. As for the spinal problems connected to RLS: I have had a bulging disk in my L4&5. I originally went to pain management for this but RLS developed also. My neurosurgeon says that their is a connection betwe...

Re: RLS and Alcohol remedies....?

I will have a very small amount of red wine at dinner. This happens maybe once a month. I don't notice any change in my symptoms. Occasionally, when I am having a very bad night I will have a "wee dram" of good single malt scotch with a bit of water. I don't know what it does for my physic...
