Lost in my Oxycodone haze

I so want to give up. I am so tired of drug changes and side effects and whining and crying all the time. I try to stay away from this site during my real bad times. Actually I try to keep my distance from a lot of places when I get like this. I guess I figure you don't need me to add to everybody's...

Re: Mixing drugs can be dangerous

Yikes....antihistamines!! My doctor had me take Claritin for allergies and that is when my life changed and has never been the same. Amazing that one class of drugs can cause so many problems for so many people. I hope one day soon doctors will learn more about WED and the drug interactions and how ...

Re: Mixing drugs can be dangerous

I keep my meds in a pill box too. I set it up each Sunday with what I am allowed to have. If I need extra I tell my husband that I am taking it. I also write on a calendar the extra drugs I take each day and I try to write in how my legs/ankles are feeling. I have done this for a few years now. That...

Mixing drugs can be dangerous

I am not sure where this really belongs so I decided to put it in Pharmaceutical Discussions since it is about drugs. If it belongs someplace else please feel free to move it to where it belongs. I had a friend that I had met on Facebook. I found out that she passed away last month...she had taken t...

Re: Went to U of M...changing meds again

Thank you for asking. Yes.. it is the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The doctors name is Cathy Anne Goldstein. Her specialty is neurology and her clinical interest are sleep disorders. I am thrilled to be weaning off the Pramipexole but the Oxycodone and I are not great friends. I have not bee...

Went to U of M...changing meds again

I had my appointment at U of M with the sleep doctor. Finally a doctor that actually seems to understand this disease. She went through the whole thing explaining WED to me and said that she agrees with all the other doctors that I have a really severe case of WED and she said she thinks I may also ...

Re: Dealing with tuff love and people with RLS

Polar Bear...I think Uncle Cracker used to sing with Big and Rich once in awhile. This new cd that he just put out was the first time I had really ever listened to any of his stuff. I love the whole thing...not one song on it that I don't like. Funny how this one song happened into my life as I am t...

Re: Dealing with tuff love and people with RLS

Jakesmom...always remember that when the people in your life don't seem to understand...the people here do. I have been so depressed and would think how much easier it would be to just close my eyes and not wake up or to just drive off a bridge. I just went through that...seems to come and go. I bla...

Re: Finally, no more pramipexole !!!!

Jakesmom...hang in there. You will be amazed when the right drug combination is found as to how much better you will feel..physically and mentally. I have learned to take the good days when I have them and I am trying to tolerate the crappy days when I have them...not always an easy thing to do. Not...

Re: Neupro Patch

I have decided that for me the Neupro Patch is not a good drug. I stopped using it 3 days ago after I passed out in the evening and my husband could not wake me up. We were watching Tina Turner singing Rolling on the River and I just went away...Randy said he had the stereo turned up as loud as it w...

Re: Neupro Patch

Hi Flyingfleet..I take the Pramipexipole and the Neupro Patch together. It is the only way I can control the WED. I use a 2mg patch and .5mg Pramipexole twice a day. It is not recommended that you do that. I just saw a new sleep doctor last week and she said she would not put somebody on both those ...

Re: What would you do?

Thanks Views..I have not heard of any psychopharmacologist around here...not saying that there isn't one but so I haven't heard of one but I am going to check today when the sun comes up and the rest of the world starts to wake up. As for the crying....I cry all the time these days. I think part of ...

Re: What would you do?

I am tired of so many things right now that I want to run away...and there is no place to run to that can help...except here.. at least on here I don't feel so alone and misunderstood. I feel like I whine and complain alot but that is what my life is coming to....whine, complain and cry. I saw the n...

Re: Dealing with tuff love and people with RLS

I just ran across this post and had to give my two cents regarding the name change from RLS to WED. Although it is confusing some people as to why the name change... I for one am glad they changed it. For a long time after being diagnosed with RLS I didn't tell a lot of people. I had already heard a...

Re: Dopamine Agonists and Alzheimers

Veldon..when I was on the Gabapentin I was not taking Mirapex. I believe I was taking Klonipin or Tramadole with it. I will go back and go through my records and see if I can find what else I was taking for sure while on it. As I have said the side effects to the Gabapentin were pretty bad too...but...
