Thanks Dana, will do a search. I never thought of it being a completely different thing. I have seen others mention the symptom in different threads and always thought it was a part of the rls. Managed to track down aloe vera gel today, and so have it on hand for the next 'episode'. Thanks again. Be...

Yes, I have found that reading is not easy, and I am such an avid reader. Sometimes I find myself reading so... quickly, trying to stay ahead of the rls.

Just when you thought it might be OK !!!

Hi folks, not quite sure what's happening. Have been on 2 mg requip for several months. I also take simvastatin to lower cholesterol. Take magnewsum, Vit b and folic acid. I have codeine and diazepam 2mg for emergencies. Think that a bit of requip 'rebound' may be setting in. It's all I can think it...

journey

Hi Doety I did a post yesterday about my long airplane journey and about what worked. My outward bound flight was a nightmare, 9 hours with me in tears for a lot of the time thru discomfort and frustration, I had taken valium and codeine without much success. On the return flight I took 2mg requip, ...

My long journey with rls

Hi folks, about a month ago I asked for advice on long haul travel and was told to try and get an opiod. My doc agreed and gave me codeine. My longest flight was 9 hours, Heathrow to Edmonton, Western Canada and I was very concerned about how I would cope. I didn't want to take any of my nightime re...

She has given me tablets of 15 mg. What dosage does anyone suggest to take for the journey and at what stage. i.e. just gett...

Requip and travel

Thanks, I note what you are saying about the possible side effects of a double dose of Requip. You suggest temazepam, is that the same as diazepam which I do have. With regard to an opiod if these are on doctor's prescription only, I won't have the opportunity to see him and try and get it. I do hav...

Requip and air travel

Thanks Pat and Zach. I have a short initial flight of 1 and a half hours and wont take anything. On boarding the long haul (9 hours) I will take 2 mg Requip which hopefully will help initially, along with a few laps of the plane when required and a bottle of tonic water, haven't tried that yet but s...
