Betty, I also am an avid reader. I have been known to walk around my bedroom whilst reading, or leaning against the wall. :)

I am not always symptom free. But I am so.... much better. Taking a dose a bit late will cause a problem cos the symptoms get a chance to do their dance. Also, occasionally there can be a night when nothing works, but that doesn't happen so often now. I usually take an extra tramadol if this happens...

I don't have to guess when the symptoms will kick in.

I have rls symptoms 24/7 but the symtoms still follow the pattern of being worse as the day goes on, so my medication dose is less in the morning, a little more in the afternoon, stronger in the evening, and a small dose during the night.

Good luck Betty, positive attitude and all that, works wonders.
Surgery is always a scary time, never mind having rls issues to think of afterwards.
Glad your surgery has been successful, now it is literally 'one step at a time' (bad joke)

" Iin the evenings, not even for dinner. That is when my RLS really kicks up. The last time I went to dinner (at 7 pm) with my family, I had to stand before the main course was finished. " Dale, that used to be me. before medication. Social occasions were a nightmare. Now I take a cocktail...

Sorry you are suffering so much. I may be wrong here, but I thought that augmentation was when a medication which is being used to treat rls backfired and caused the rls symptoms to get worse. And that any other medication (i.e. not for rls symptoms) that caused rls to get worse would then be just t...

To get to see the great Dr B. that is awesome, and particularly so that you found him to be all that we hoped for.

Good luck with your change of meds and please let us know how your first few nights work out with regard to your symptoms.

Hi Waterloo. Had my 2nd physio session yesterday, neck still full of knots, physio kneeded the end of some muscle that ends just at the very front of the shoulder/arm. Pretty sore. Then massaged at the neck, also pretty sore, followed by more ultrasound, and then acupuncture. I did an hour's ironing...

Hi Dale With my rls 24/7 I do not have pain as such, I have the creepy crawlies and also a heavy aching and used to also have severe burning sensations on the leg and feet. I use ropinerole and tramadol. Ropinerole helped but didn't quite cut it on its own. The tramadol (a type of opiate) makes the ...

Physio appt should have been last Thursday, but I was asked to help out for two days with 2 days work cover (I am recently retired), and so I changed the physio to this Tuesday coming. Yesterday (Saturday) we had our usual annual bowling match with the Guards who are the Police Force in the South of...
