This link makes such sense to me, I can relate totally. I never have a full nights sleep, Most is a four hour stretch, I am so envious of folk who get an 8 hour sleep. So maybe this is why I always have aches and pains, nothing mind blowing, just weary !! (apart from being 58 years old).

Hi, I woke up at 4 am and needed to 'stretch' for a while, so I find myself looking thru this thread. From despair at the beginning, to a new hope towards the end.

Gill, I am also in the UK, and my GP prescribed Requip (ropinerole) for me. I have been taking it for 9 months so far.

Yes, I occasionally get it in my arms, but not the shoulders. Only answer for me is to get up and do something for about 45 minutes, this is whilst I have already taken my meds and am trying to get to sleep.

Yes, this only sleeping for an hour or so at a time has been happening to me over the last say 4 months. I sleep say from 12 midnight to 6am, waking up every hour or every 90 minutes, then at perhaps 5 or 6 am, my legs start and I have to get up. This is with just using Requip. If I take a sleeping ...

I reckon 'ebb and flow' means 'coming and going' as in the tide at the beach.
