Lynne,
I have had that same burning sensation in my hands. Can that also be related to RLS? It's very weird. It has only happened a few times but I had to run cold water over my hands to get relief. It just felt like they were on fire inside.

My neuro said I could cut the Requip in half. A pill cutter does a pretty good job. I always have Requip with me in my purse, some whole and some halves. I was out the other night and took 1/2 tablet because I could feel it coming on. Did the trick - took the rest when I got home. It's especially us...

I apologize if this comes through twice. My internet went down in the middle of the reply. Diet definitely plays a role in my RLS. I don't have the stinging sensation but muscle contractions and spasms at bedtime. Sugar definitely makes them worse. In fact, even high gycemic carbs can make them wors...

I was referred to a neurologist and it turned out his wife has RLS so he is very familiar with it. He told me they took a trip to Tahiti and her RLS kicked in and her normal dose of Miripex didn't cut it. He said he had to give her the maximum you are allowed to have in 24 hours to get her through t...

Rozerem did that to me. Kept me awake all night. When the neurologist found out the internist gave that to me, he said it was the wrong stuff for RLS. I guess Rozerem works like melatonin and he said that wasn't what I needed. Right now I'm sleeping good even without the Ambien,so I'm grateful. You ...

Ambien

Just to add my 2 cents, I'm on Requip and recently tried Ambien CR and it worked great for me. Best sleep I've had in awhile. I don't take it every night, only when I'm feeling sleep deprived. So far no side effects. I would be afraid to take it every night, though.

Wow, thanks for the heads up - maybe I did not give it enough of a chance. I too, was able to go back to sleep while using it, but would just rather be able to sleep clear through without waking up at all! I only have 10 left of the samples.

Thanks again for the info!

Charlene, Which sleeping pill? My doc gave me samples of Rozerem but I tried it for 2 nights and still woke up throughout the night. I figured it wasn't doing me any good so no since in adding yet another medication. I don't know if it's the kind that takes awhile to get in your system but I don't t...

Requip stops the creepy crawly feeling of having to move your legs. It is blessed relief to be able to go to bed and not have to move your legs. My problem is more spasms and jerks than creepy crawly but I've had both sensations. For me, it takes 3mg of Requip to stop the spasms. It only took 1mg to...

I'm new to RLS but I would say it certainly sounds like it. I get that same feeling in my lower back of weakness and constantly needing to stretch it out. I have been diagnosed with anxiety and RLS. I'm on 3 mg of Requip before bedtime and it definitely helps. Hopefully some of the more experienced ...
