Re: Sequential Compression Devices for RLS

This one looked pretty interesting. Just for legs and wouldn't get tangled up maybe as bad. I may try this one you can return it for a restocking charge within 30 days. http://www.lgmedsupply.com/sensus.html

Re: Sequential Compression Devices for RLS

I've never used anything. I am unfamiliar with either compression devices (muscle stimulant) versus nerve stimulation. I found this too is this what you're using http://www.lgmedsupply.com/tensproducts.html

Re: Opiods

I'm thinking about the tramadol again. It actually helped (50mg) at around 6:30pm but my RLS is ramping up earlier now... It did make me a little sleepy. Also experienced some weird breathing thing (while awake/relaxed dosing) on sofa. Very relaxed. I didn't gasp or anything. What concerned me more ...

Re: Opiods

Thank you for your replies. No I didn't have an EKG. Yes I am seeing a doctor. That's who Rx'd it. I seem to have a very low tolerance to med's and always have horrific side effects. I've never taken Rx'd opiods before this. Currently RLS has been bothering me since 3:30pm today. I may start back on...

Re: John Hopkins Glutamate Study

Sue: Thank you for participating in this study. I do not know how you did this. Blessings to you and yours. I was supposed to participate in a clinical trial with Vanderbilt but I was failing Horizant, depression issues and been through hell and back ever since. Anyhow, is Neurontin only Rx you're t...

Opiods

Do all pain med's cause tolerance? Tried methadone only 5mg then cut to 2.5 for 4 days only and it completely eliminated late afternoon RLS (during sitting at sedentary job and watching tv) and nighttime RLS. Yippe..., However, extreme nausea and vertigo next day and husband had to drive to work. Cu...

Tracy: Are you still on the Lyrica? What dose? I'm down to failing Horizant again.... yes new Neuro wanted me to go back on Horizant after last Neuro ripped it from me because of depression that send me into a tailspin I'd never experienced before in my life. Never have I had withdrawl from a Rx or ...

Re: Horizant

I tried lowest dose of Mirapex at 4pm and RLS went wild for 4.5 hrs so never took 2nd recommended dose at 9pm. Tried again next night same thing and then felt very nauseous went to bathroom with dry heaves, cold sweat, felt faint so sat down on floor by toilet until subsided. Had same experience 10+...

Re: Horizant

Does anyone know why once you've experienced augmentation from 8 years of Sinemet you cannot restart it? I've been off Sinemet since Nov 2012 at which time I was taking it in combination with Horizant. It worked so wonderful for me for years. I'm now on 300mg of Horizant (5 days) with plans to titra...

Re: Horizant

Thank you for your response. I hope I didn't offend anyone about my fears of opiates. By no means did I mean to come across judgmental. Just fearful. I guess I haven't seen any long term studies about the tolerance and dependence stats. Fortunately, my RLS is not as horrific as I have seen many that...

Re: Horizant

Have you tried Neupro? It is a patch. If you haven't, ask about it and ask for samples. I had no side effects at a low dose, but I needed 6mg and it caused nausea. It is pricey, but the company has a discount coupon that makes the cost to you around $30. My neuro is great about giving me samples an...

I was on 25mg sertaline (Zoloft) and had been off it since 2011. After what I believe was the Neuro f/u meltdown visit and increased dose of clonazepam (been on .5mg max one time dose (up to .75 mg all day) for 10 years to 1mg @ night and combination of Horizant I think that increased the "Blue...

Re: amino acids...

Pam, don't forget that people whose WED is well-treated don't post on this website! Most people find a treatment plan that works for them. Chipmunk: How is your RLS doing? I had a complete meltdown last October. Was feeling some depression ramping up and asked about clonazepam upped dosage and frea...
