Re: In Through the Out Door

My Zeo ZQ score last night was 28. 2 hours 38 min of sleep with 13 minutes of deep sleep. I got up at 1:40 am. Last night about 7 pm I got wild RLS, wild like having to get up and walk around rapidly while also moving my arms wildly. I took my 8:30 pm meds then and within an hour I was okay. I also ...

Re: Hi

Zach, It freaks me out about not having enough pills too and it seems like something is happening about every month to make me even more concerned. Last month I get a note from our insurance company saying they weren't going to pay for my Lyrica anymore, the doctor got the same note and got them to ...

Re: In Through the Out Door

if the Mirapex is turning against me (the little traitor). I won't think it is too funny and probably won't have much of a sense of humor by tomorrow morning if it is a bad night. I guess I am pre-whining but maybe not, it has been mostly a downward slope for 8 days, I just didn't know what was goi...

Re: Narcotics and rls

Went to Dr. today. My Ferritin level is very very low. Neurologist doesn't want to manage this but did prescribe Horizant. Now to get insurance to cover this. He was very interested in Dr. B's article and kept this to read. Hopefully my GP will manage the iron. He was unaware of the newest research...

Re: In Through the Out Door

I just realized that all my correspondence is still available online at the hospital, check out these partial recent notes to doctor: 08/17/12 “Doxepin made RLS unbearable last night…I couldn’t lay down at all without wild jerky movements." 08/30/12 “The Clonazepam that I have been taking for t...

Re: In Through the Out Door

My Zeo ZQ (overall score) was 45 last night. It showed that from 1:45 am until I got up at 4:25 am I was basically not sleeping at all. The night before was my best night at 67 because of the added Mirapex. The worst night my wife had was an 89, best was 122. I think what probably is happening (hope...

Re: Hyperalertness - Research Study

Sorry majoraward that they misread your letter. I looked at several studies and the ones I looked at said no sleep apnea. I don't know if they are all like that. I bet more people have sleep apnea than they realize who also have WED/PLMD. DEB Thanks for letting me know about the sleep apnea wash-ou...

My doctor prescribes vitamin D3 for me, he said there have been studies showing that viatamin D helps RLS.

Re: Hyperalertness - Research Study

I have already been washed-out of the study because I have obstructive sleep apnea (at least that is the reason given) and they said even if I hadn't been it would be "very uncomfortable if not unbearable for you" having told them about having it 24 hours a day without medication. For some...

Right now I seem to have a balance with the meds. YEAH

Re: Ropinerole and Hallucinations

I would rather die than to give up the one thing that does take away the rls. I will ask my Dr. if we could change to Mirapex as that seems to be the medication that most take and with good results. If Mirapex doesn't work you might try Neupro. It can take awhile to get things working again and the...

Re: In Through the Out Door

I know that mirapex has a half life of 8 - 12 hours, 8 hours in younger folks, and up to 12 hours in the elderly. I have difficulty in telling the difference between sleepy sleepy or sleepy drug effect. On about 3 occasions when visiting with (close) family during an afternoon I dozed off while we ...

Re: In Through the Out Door

It could be .75 Mirapex helps with good night sleep but the side effects of higher dose during day may be too great. :( I am feeling a little sick and tired but working is okay. Anyone know how long Mirapex lasts?

Re: In Through the Out Door

Hey! The Mirapex worked last night (going from .5 mg to .75 mg)! I had averaged about 54 the previous nights. 1 hour 7 minutes deep sleep, 1 hour 57 minutes REM sleep. I'm feeling really good!!!

Re: In Through the Out Door

Heck, once I fell asleep during sex!....The last twenty times I did it, I thought my new attitude would stay with me forever. Guess that just shows that I wasn't really doing it . Above quote shows an interesting way to manipulate data I know the difference between drug tired and tired because I ha...
