Re: Varenicline
It wouldn't surprise me if people with WED did perfectly fine on it, given our backwards responses to many drugs. I just wanted to put that out there because I have heard from multiple people that either they personally felt crazy on it, or they were dealing with a spouse who had just literally take...

Re: What I learned on my RLS-Path so far ...
I wonder if it's unique to Escitalopram? I haven't found that being on an SSRI inhibits augmentation personally, but maybe the doses weren't right. What dosage of each are you on? I have been reading a lot lately about serotonin and dopamine levels and it seems that taking something like 5-HTP (whic...

Re: Should I start Lexapro?
Ah your poor son. Mine too. He's 23, but he's known he has it for 5 or more years. Crappy. My boy also has some serious learning issues that may or may not be ADHD-inattentive type. He has some of the symptoms. ADHD can be caused in rodents by depriving them of iron in the fetal stage - mothers wit...

Just be careful...I have heard SO many people say that either they or their family member went completely whackadoodle on Chantix. If you give it a try, make sure you have someone on the lookout for psychiatric symptoms. Here's a little more information: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/chantix-dangers-...

For when you are awake & need something to distract yourself

It's a bunch of funny/awful photographs by real estate agents but it's the commentary that really makes them hilarious. Great way to distract yourself from the WED...I was up a couple nights ago and was just dying laughing

Re: Just Joined - October 2013
Saturday, October 19th Welcome to M4gill, who is from the UK and would like to get more information about RLS/WED, and to Chrizizme, who is a long-term sufferer who would also like to extend their knowledge of how to treat WED. This thread: http://bb.rls.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1068 has a lot of...

Re: Should I start Lexapro?
I'm glad it's working for you! I was on it for many years and was very happy with it.
Can I ask - what's your dose of Wellbutrin? You can take 150 mg two times a day but 300 mg in one dose is known for inducing seizures so be careful with doubling it.

Re: Considering the possibility of going back on Mirapex
I agree with Ann. If you can take Mirapex, then I would do that and alternate with an opiate or anti-convulsant.
((hugs)) I know it's so frustrating but you WILL find something that works!

Re: Just a little post about a new releif for my legs
You don't necessarily have to get a mastiff - our Chinook is 85 lbs and he loves to be a lap dog, lol! We just got a new puppy - he's 7.5 lbs and I can barely feel him sitting on my lap. But so sweet!

Re: Iron/Ferritin Test Results
The part of your results I still don't understand is why serum iron is lower even though ferritin is higher. Maybe it's a slight lowering, not significant? Or more likely, body iron stores aren't reflected in the amount of iron bound to transferrin. Most of the body's iron is bound up in hemoglobin...

Re: Thank you card to Dr. Allen
Last chance! I'd be happy to send it to you - just PM your address. If I don't hear from anyone by Wednesday, I'll put it in the mail to Dr. Allen.
