Re: Mayo Clinic algorythm

The algorithm links in Google don't seem to work anymore. I tried several last week without success.

Re: my meds never work

I've been down the same road. At present, hydrocodone is the only med that works for me. I'm a bit concerned about tolerance but without taking any meds I am a complete wreck... Pacing all night long. Good luck on finding something. Have you tried tramadol/ultram?

Re: Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance

The hydrocodone is working well. I'm back to being able to sleep through the night (except sometimes waking up for another dose). The only part I don't like too much is that it makes me a bit woozy during the day but I'll take that over the RLS feeling any day! Initially, I was on 1 mg of Requip but...

Re: Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance

Quick update on my efforts to rid Requip from my body for those that are interested. It's been 3 weeks so far and if I don't have hydrocodone in my system, the RLS is ever present. My prescription lapsed yesterday and the pharmacist was unable to fill it until this morning. Last night was complete H...

Re: The tens units

From my experience, the Tens units are like massage. It works the outer muscles but if your pain is like mine. It is deep in the leg. These things at best provide a distraction and perhaps momentary relief but nothing more.

Tramadol

Hello fellow RLS/WES sufferers.... Can anyone provide me with feedback on their experience with Tramadol for the treatment of RLS/WE'D? I have been off Requip for a few weeks now due to augmentation and I'm while my are still active 24-7... I'm looking for a daytime alternative to hydrocodone, as I ...

Re: Augmentation

Thanks, Ann. Did your augmentation eventually disappear? Just trying to anticipate what to expect.

Re: Augmentation

Can anyone provide me with some feedback with what has worked for them after they have stopped taking a DA and it has completely left their system? At present, I am still going through discontinuation withdrawals from stopping Requip but assume it's only a matter of days or weeks before I have conqu...

Re: upper body symptoms with RLS/WED

I am on day 12 of stopping my Requip XL cold-turkey. I have been on a DA for close to 6 years. I never had any symptoms in my upper body until 3 days ago when I felt it in my arms for the first time. It was the same "anxious, creepy crawly" feeling that I get in my legs and an urge to mass...
