Tommy,
Thanks- I will do that. Interestingly enough this past November I had kidney stones...probably from doing a ketogenic diet. I wasn't able to have one analyzed so I am not certain whether they were oxalate stones or not but it has me thinking. I think I am going to give it a go.

Re: Another year of relief
notnowdad (or anyone else), I am fascinated by this approach. Have you been able to find any information about oxylates and dopamine? I did a pub med search and some general internet research and came up empty handed. I am wondering what the mechanism is for this. I am also curious as to how many pe...

Re: Kratom- does it help with movements?
I have no idea. I also have worse PLMS - and except for a few PLMW (periodic movements while waking), I am never aware of my movements - just that I am awake a lot at night. But, I do get RLS at night, too, so I am never sure why I am awake. or if I just need to pee. The fun of PLMS and RLS - NOT! ...

Kratom- does it help with movements?
I realize that the vast majority of folks here have RLS/WED....I suffer from periodic limb movement disorder- my primary issue is I have lots of involuntary leg movements. So on to my question. Do those of you using Kratom- do you find that it helps to decrease involuntary movements associated with ...

Re: Horizant causing insomnia?
So I saw my sleep doc and he lowered the dose of Horizant from 600 to 300. Last night it was better in terms of being less awake. Time will tell...plus I will be mixing in kratom when it arrives.

Re: Sourcing kratom- organic if possible / how to dose
I try to avoid the sugar in juice. I am wondering if maybe I can mix it with some water and apple cider vinegar to get some acidity- I will try that.
Again- I appreciate the info!

Re: Horizant causing insomnia?
I think that, for many, medications which often carry the side-effect of "sleepiness" do just the opposite. I think there is a name for it…paradoxical effect I think. Of couse there could be many other reasons but that is just one possibility. Wishing all who visit here some peace this ni...

Re: Sourcing kratom- organic if possible / how to dose
Thanks so much for all of the great information. I ordered some. Do I have to have it with juice? Can I just make capsules out of it and take with water?

Re: Horizant causing insomnia?
Thanks. I should have been a bit more specific in what i did. I got off the dilautid for a week or so. I was just using mirapex. I then added in the Horizant and noticed insomnia. I have also read that side effects with Horizant often subside after a couple of weeks. I am going to try it with the di...

Awesome thanks for the info! One other question- is it ok to use kratom with mirapex, horizant and/or an oral opiate?

Sourcing kratom- organic if possible / how to dose
Hi, I just found this forum- wow it's really a great source of info- I had no idea that kratom could help with this issue. I am wondering where folks source kratom? Ideally I would like to get organic kratom. Can someone point me to a thread or resource that talks about how to start dosing it? Thank...

Horizant causing insomnia?
Hi, I just found this group. I have severe PLMD and have been taking .375 of Mirapex for the past 7 years. Over the past year it hasn't been working very well. I had a kidney stone and was given dilautid and this helped my sleep- I took it for a few months- it was helpful at first and then stopped h...
