Re: In Through the Out Door

I have thought about getting one of those ZEO's. I bet that I get very little deep sleep, just because of the way that I feel. In regards to you, I'm wondering why you are getting very little deep sleep with the amount of time that you are "alseep". I wish there was a real answer for all ...

Re: In Through the Out Door

That sucks. What do you think the chances are that some of the trouble this time has to do with the machine itself? I was hoping it would be better for you this time given your recent improvement. Just 2 months ago, a week before my surgery, I had a sleep study and they allowed me to use my mask an...

Re: In Through the Out Door

Terrible. ZQ of 58. Wake time 59 minutes, 5 hours 52 minutes sleep, only 28 minutes of deep sleep which is a BIG problem. That is why I am tired, my wife would get a couple of hours of deep sleep. REM was 2 hours 32 minutes, the only good reading. Yikes on deep sleep will do it for whole week and lo...

Re: In Through the Out Door

I had 8 hours of sleep last night (it feels more like 1 hour) but I nodded off at work today several times. I have been very tired all day and yet my wife says that as far as she knew I had not been moving around in the bed last night. The doc has me actually taking less meds. I'm taking no ambien a...

Re: Ropinerole and Hallucinations

I read on the effects of ropinerole that it could cause hallucinations. I have been on requip and now ropinerole for about 10 years. I get very little sleep especially when I experience hallucinations. Mostly two to three hours a night with no cat naps during the day. I have never seen anyone on po...

Re: Narcotics and rls

I felt bad for accepting it but I know this means I will sleep tonight and that is bottom line. I hate feeling that the doctor thinks is so horrible. Don't beat yourself up because the doctor is ignorant. You have nothing to feel bad about except that you are suffering from a terrible disease. I li...

Re: rls is a sad condition

very good list. very good. One or more of those things makes the difference. The full-body coverage, maybe; the jets and movement, I would guess probably. Fresh air --- that''s a possibility. Noise - interesting thought, I wonder if that would make a difference. I use a white-noise machine at night...

Re: Hyperalertness - Research Study

no, no, do enquire about it! for two reasons, one is that these studies need more of us who are severe, other is maybe we can combine clips of your film and mine. I am looking to see if there is any funding available for making a documentary, it's a long shot. They had no problem that I was in Cana...

Re: Falling Asleep at Wheel Solutions

It does sound like a neat piece of equipment. I'll just add that I had a real problem with getting drowsy while driving. For years two or three times a week I'd have to stop at a Mall or other safe place and take a ten minute nap. Then my doctor told me I was very low in vitamin D. As soon as I got...

Re: Are they just being empathetic?

If someoe is talking aout things they wil frequently being hear to say, "I don't know how they can handle/do that cause if it was me, I could never do that." Are these people likely just being empathetic or do they usually mean just what they said--it would be intollerable for them? We he...

Re: Hyperalertness - Research Study

I might be too weak too, I haven't done it yet, don't forget! And I haven't felt bad symptoms in a couple years, noting like the hell when my neurologist disappeared - when I first posted on this board, come to think of it. It's like having a baby: as I was in the agony of it, I clearly remember th...

Re: In Through the Out Door

I have had my "new" ResMed VPAP machine for 346 days. I know that because I just downloaded free SleepyHead software from a place on the Internet that has it that allows me to look at the data on my SD card for the machine. I had had similar software for my CPAP machine but I got the new m...

Re: In Through the Out Door

what a sad thing that you have to go through all this! But thank goodness for that doctor who is fighting for you. Kudos to him and others like him who are willing to spend the extra time to help get us our lives back, or part of our lives back. That whole iron infusion story is very hopeful, not t...

Re: rls is a sad condition

I fill a normal bathtub mostly full with water as hot as I can bear. I sit in it for blessed relief and peace. (as long as the WED's not going full bore - then it doesn't work and I just wet the whole room kicking). I turn the hot water on from time to time as the bath cools, to keep it jacked up t...

Re: Hyperalertness - Research Study

I looked at the material that you provided and I have 2 questions: From the material you uploaded: "During this time they will be asked to sleep on a regular schedule with times going to bed between 21:00 and 01:00 and 6.0 to 10.0 hours in bed for 5 out of 7 nights." How would ANY person w...
