Re: This is what my new Neurologist told me!
What a serious cop out from your doctor. If he can't even try to help you at least he could refer you to someone who can. I wish we could take legal action against all these doctors that hurt us like this. It is so unfair. Switch doctors for sure though and good luck.

Re: Atypical Symptoms? (some newb questions)
My symptoms don't seem to get better with movement, when having bad symptoms I have to move but even moving doesn't make me feel any better. It is like when you get the urge to stretch and yawn, you feel the urge, you yawn while stretching, your done. But with me I am not done just because I moved. ...

Re: RLS and Pregnancy
Laulylou I had my first known symptoms of WED/RLS while pregnant while on a road trip, I swear I could have shoved my feet through the floor boards of the car. I hope it goes away when you deliver. I would try a pregnancy yoga class, stretching sometimes helps symptoms. Also make sure you are suffic...

Re: Marijuana stopped symptoms!
I personally think eating it helps my symptoms better then smoking it, and sometimes smoking it actually gives me symptoms. I have only eaten it twice but it seems to me more of a body high then a mind high. Probable different for everyone though. Luckily I live in Washington so it is legal on a sta...

Re: Taking 8 meds just for RLS and related insomnia
Karalea I am taking suboxone with great results. It is subutex with the narcan in it. You definitely could not take anything with Narcan as it seems you already know. I would be careful going the drug addict route with being an RN. You could really limit future employment. Plus in my case not necess...

Re: Unrelated Health Issue
I know I sleep much better when I don't have to worry about my husband and disturbing his sleep. I get to kick and stretch as much as I want. I think some of it is psychological, just knowing I am by myself takes some stress away. Ee fall I had something very similar happen to me. I had my gall blad...

Re: Update
Betty I am in Portland Oregon. I guess things have changed as far as samples go. My son is 15 tomorrow so it has been a long time since I have worked in the field. I just never thought that aspect would change as it is how the drug companies made it easy for doctors to prescribe their meds. I was th...

Re: New to the boards, but not to RLS (WED)
Wendy it worked for me the first night I took it but not after that. It has turmeric in it which is an anti inflammatory and on my bottle although it is very blurry it says aspirin which is also anti inflammatory. It seems to me a lot of bad things happen to our bodies in response to inflammation so...

Re: Update
Betty please make sure to share the compulsion issue, the sexual compulsion as well as the eating. Please do not be too embarrassed because your doctor needs to know and the sexual compulsion may make more of an impression then the eating. The moderators have given some great advice above so if you ...

Re: WED/RLS Protocols
I wonder if there is an attorney out there that has WED that would take this on? The whole issue with opiates is so stupid. If you are getting opiates from a doctor they will be in control of your use. I know some doctors make their patients sign a contract stating they will not doctor shop(get mult...

I am sorry I should have not implied my mom committed suicide due to rls/wed. She had a baby die at 6 months age from complications of anesthesia after heart surgery. They didn't handle that well back in the 60's. Her dad also committed suicide so probable family history of depression too? I just wa...

corynski I was wrong about saying do what works for you, that would be okay if it didn't cause augmenting which it seems like your chances are much higher the higher your dose it and that is the last thing one of us would want.

Re: I feel horrible for my husband...
I think rotating would be a much easier option then a drug holiday. I can't imagine anyone wanting go into full WED symptoms for any amount of time. I have been symptom free for awhile now but I still am traumatized by my last experience and I am constantly worried about people out there suffering f...
