Re: sleep has completely tanked
I also am starting to realize that I need to work with the WED in my plans vs. forging ahead no matter what. I think I was going to fast at these changes i.e. start school part time, even one class and see how that goes and maybe later in a year or so look for another job. The job I want you need th...

Re: sleep has completely tanked
I live in the Austin area. Recently started going to a sleep neuro and I'm in the middle of testing so I might ask them about the opioids, particularly the vicodin. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: WED connected to autoimmune disorder?
Thanks everyone! I'll give the doc in Houston a call. Views, Did you get Dr. B authorize an iron infusion for you? I'm also curious that both of us take iron throughout the day and still have low ferratin levels...probably something a lot of WED sufferers struggle through. Is there anything to expla...

Re: WED connected to autoimmune disorder?
Thanks Views! Yes, iron is a big issue. I take the food based iron (by standard process) throughout the day and my levels are nor where near normal still....but everything else is fine. I asked my primary care if I could get an iron infusion and she said: NO ONE is going to give you an infusion with...

Re: sleep has completely tanked
Good for you! Getting opiods down here in Texas is like asking for a miracle. Vicodin works very well for me even no side affects, but I can't find any doc that will prescribe it for me. I went to the sleep lab last night and took lunesta, but only slept between 1.5 - 2 hours so I don't know if I'm ...

sleep has completely tanked
Last night I got ZERO for sleep and the night before a very restless 2 or 3 hours. I averaged around 4 hours a night last week. I'm taking gabapentin and clonazepam, but not all the time because I've had to like triple and quadriple the dosage before, was falling asleep at the desk and then to get o...

WED connected to autoimmune disorder?
I was speaking to the sleep neurologist and he told me severe WED can be linked to autoimmune disease, but there is a lot they don't know. Anybody hear anything about this?

sleep apnea and WED
I always thought it was the heavy people who couldn't stay awake during the day that had sleep apnea, but I'm finding out that may not be the case. Sleep apnea can aggravate or even cause WED along with anemia and it affects thin people too. I have both and there have been times that I've woken up i...

Re: vicodin
Just to clarify that I only take 1 clonazepam a week because if I take more I need .5 more to make it work. I'm okay with that, if it didn't make me feel so much like a bloody zombie! Funny that just that little bit more makes me feel so different!

vicodin
All of the meds I've tried: mirapex, requip, tramadol and gabapentin make me sick. The only ones that don't are clonazepam and vicodin. I only like to take the clonazepam once a week. If I take more I'm sleeping at my desk at work ie I'm more tired when I do too much clonazepam than if I get the usu...

swimming
My sleep has been sh** lately, since my mother died (which all makes sense) and 99 percent of the meds make me sick. I went swimming (only 5 laps) one night and slept through the night like a baby without even taking my usual calcium and iron which is usually a recepie for disaster! Swimming makes m...

Re: Ferritin Question
My ferratin level last checked out at 20 and I'm taking 2 iron supplements a day so I'm going to increase it to 3. Does it take a while for the iron increase to work for WED? I say this because when I upped it to 3 briefly, it didn't do a damn thing, but I'm guessing that it might take a while for i...

Re: Latest research about glutamate involvement
Thanks for the information. I also saw the study on the newsletter and was wondering what natural thing would reduce it.
