Re: rls testing

This is one of them, make any sense to anyone?  Efficacy assessments were secondary and included the International Restless Legs Syndrome study group severity rating scale (IRLS). Mean IRLS score of patients entering the open-label study was 27·8 (SD 5·9) at baseline of the double-blind trial. In pa...

Re: rls testing

I remember it being 38 I think but don't remember what area I was reading in, does PLM go up to 38? I don't really think that was it or else I miss understood what I was reading. I am aware of PLM from my own experience. Thoughts? Do you know of any other testing that a neurologist might perform for...

rls testing

What is the score I see occasionally referred to in people's posts? ( Sorry I can't find it again) I would like to know what test is being referred to. Who does it, how high can the scores go etc.

Re: Clonazepam Withdrawal

I forgot to tell you, I can tell personally which is withdrawl and which is RLS. It's been my experience that with all the second-guessing I've done or others, Dr's included, that my body and brain knew I just refused to listen or believe. So about the withdrawl thing for me I can tell the drug stuf...

Re: Clonazepam Withdrawal

Doety, Thanks for that. Would like to know about the sleep stuff as I also have a sleep disorder that severly complicates things with the rls. In essence I fall asleep on the back side of the REM cycle. So this means that as soon as I fall asleep I'm in the process of awakening. The rls makes me rou...

Re: Greetings - New Member from Mesa, AZ

Glad to hear about your trip- I'm on requip now and personally find it's currently helping more for me than Mirapex, however I'm having problems with side effects. Still rather have the rls lowered though! :D

Re: Nucynta cr, Tapentadol Hydrochloride --Anyone tried it?-

Thanks for the ideas. I have also tried welbutrin in the past and did not fair well at all (every pun intended). I have done well on morphine along with other drugs, one to sleep, ibuprofen, and oxycontin, along with gabapentin or mirapex. Two problems but mostly, I was so hazy I couldn't function a...

Nucynta cr, Tapentadol Hydrochloride --Anyone tried it?--

I'm supposed to decide whether to give this one a try, I know nothing about it and have never heard the name before. I certainly don't feel qualified to make this decision. Has anyone had experience with this drug, and what outcomes?
Thanks

Re: Clonazepam Withdrawal

I also have come off my meds (get sick of them), anyway the thing I usually do is get frustrated with my meds and just drop them like within a few weeks, this usually does not go over well with the MD's so this time I told them ahead of time and followed protocol and did it slowly as instructed. Her...

Nice to find you. I have had RLS for forty five yrs

Nice to find you. I have had RLS for forty five yrs, I am forty five. I have been told as a baby I could not be picked up as I would scream and fight to be put down. It was painful to be touched and was fed in my crib or playpen as I could not tolerate being held. In my preteen years I had would scr...

Re: Average Hours of Sleep per Night

I am very new to this site and am so glad to have found you. I have had RLS for 45 years, began an undiagnosed child and only in the last 15 years have I received diagnosis and treatment. I get at best with optimum meds on board up to 2hrs 40min per night. The norm is more like an hour and a half in...
