Re: Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

At any rate, I found when I put the electrodes on my lower back (buttocks) it interrupted the signals between the brain and the legs enough to get pretty consistent relief when I used it diligently every night over time before bed. Interesting, I haven't tried that. All the nerves for your legs go ...

Re: Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

Thank you for your response it makes very much sense as I have been using various methods of movement when my legs act up, or putting a tens machine on my legs at night to help me sleep. I believe I will try the trial. There is also a great paper on transcutaneous spinal direct-current stimulation ...

Re: Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

I have an appointment in March and will have to make a decision to put one in or not, but I am on the fence. I would strongly encourage you to take up this offer. I regularly target my main nerves between the brain and my RLS symptoms to stop them, and it works very well. RLS is sensorimotor condit...

Re: Low Oxalate Dieters Please Read This

Once the subject turns to fluoride, it starts to become tin foil hat territory. What about 5G as well? Is the government covering it up for the elites, so Bill Gates can kill us all? If there was any truth to what has been brought up in this thread, there would be no healthy people in the world. No ...

Re: Low Oxalate Dieters Please Read This

In any case I don't think our ancestors were exposed to fluoride in any way, while they did get a decent amount of iodine (more than we do nowadays, mostly via fish consumption I believe). "Foods with fluoride include: Seafood: Seafood like crab legs and shrimp are not only a delicious and fancy de...

Re: Low Oxalate Dieters Please Read This

I believe fluoride causes RLS in several ways... There are very large populations that have fluoride and very large populations who don't, without any health differences between them based on known mechanisms of fluoride toxicity. The causes of RLS are numerous, and it may be possible that for some...

Re: Low Oxalate Dieters Please Read This

I decided to try drinking purified water ... Two weeks later I'm sleeping four to five hours at a time and experiencing much less awake time overall. My buzzing restlessness is much reduced and for the past two nights I did not experience any restlessness. Well done with your success. We are all ve...

Re: MTHFR Gene Mutation

Well done on your success. There is a large list of supplements that help people, and I remember foliate being on the list. I'm sure that I tried it at some time, but not the MTHF version. I may give it another go next time I'm doing a supplements run. There appears to be wide range of situations an...

"many of the people who received lecanemab in the phase 3 trial experienced amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA)—a term that describes brain swelling and bleeding. ARIA occurred in more than 21% of those who were on the drug; 17% experienced brain bleeds" Yikes!! As for statins, my doctor t...

Re: Published Research - General Sleep and RLS (WED)

This whole discussion reminds me very much of Alzheimers research. The latest drug that is proving effective actually targets amyloid. I have been following the 'it is amyloid, the research was flawed on amyloid, now a drugh works' story for a while and I really don't know what to make of it. More ...

Re: Published Research - General Sleep and RLS (WED)

The important thing was that this was the first time that a theory was proposed that explained the role of brain iron deficiency as well as why this causes a buildup of both the dopamine that causes our movement issues and the glutamate that causes our insomnia. In most of these papers there is the...

Re: Do I even have RLS?

I'll have a go at a reply for you. There are numerous conditions that are motor and sensory related. That is, that the brain doesn't like the signals it receives from the body or there is heightened sensitivity in the brain. There are symptoms from this discrepancy that are generically referred to a...

Re: Supplements, diet

Oxalate is the cause of my RLS with the short answer of it is the cause, but hasn't eliminated my RLS, just changes it for now until I can get the oxalate out of my system. There is a list of things to try, with caffeine making a difference for me due to trigger points being less sensitive to create...

Re: My one year anniversary on a low oxalate/salicylate eating plan.

I am interested in figuring out whether certain foods trigger RLS. Seems like a Sisyphean task since I have RLF every night and can't imagine where to start eliminating foods. For some of us it is seen as simple as we have often changed diets, but for many people the thought does seem daunting. The...

Re: Spinal Stimulator

... but the stupid signal moves to my back at that point and I haven't figured out a way to cut it out there. That is very interesting. I use a TENS with EMS that flexes the muscles and if it hits the right spot can create symptoms. I also have nights of chasing symptoms. Anyone with similar patter...
