Re: NeuPro: keeping track of patch locations
Neupro patches are very irritating and nearly half of all people trying them have to stop because of rashes.

Re: Suicidal thoughts
Deb, so sorry about your situation. Depression is an awful feeling. You could have SAD, seasonal affective disorder, depression due to inadequate sun. Obviously more common in the far north parts of the globe. Lack of sleep will increase depressive symptoms, as will chronic pain. Suicidal thoughts l...

Re: Cannabis
My experience is that the "usual" recommendations for marijuana (sativa more stimulating, indica more sedating, high cbd for sleep otherwise low cbd), like many other drugs, seem to affect RLS users differently than most people. While there were mild differences between strains, the main determinate...

Re: Opiate Flu Like Symptoms
Hmmm... I don't know the answer to your question, but it seems unlikely that you would have withdrawal symptoms from methadone after taking it for only a few days. Perhaps you actually had the flu?

Hi Newyorktim. You will find lots of helpful information and folks that really understand restless legs syndrome here. Welcome to the RLS community.
I don't quite understand what your comment is about, are you saying that Viagra helps RLS?

Re: Gabapentin Stop and Start up again later effective?
If you are using Gabapentin alone for your RLS, the problem is more likely just that your RLS has become worse as you have grown older, this is very common. If you are using Gabapentin alone and stop it, when you restart it is not likely to be more effective than when you were using it previously. M...

Between 1 and 3 sets the first year (each set is 2 infusions, one week apart). After that about one set a year, though there is much variation, and some people don't get any benefit at all, for reasons that are not currently known.SuzeLeslie wrote:How many infusions would one need?

Re: Horizant and Neupro - has anyone used these Rxs?
Ok, thanks Holland! I just bought some Red Borneo Herbal Tea (Kratom) and I look forward to its working on me. Could you tell me how it works exactly? Thanks! Kratom is a natural ground up leaf that has many naturally occurring substances in it. Some have been studied, many have not. It is known th...

Re: Nonmedication strategies for RLS by Shalini Paruthi,MD
Iron infusions (except for the first couple) usually last about a year before repeat is needed, but there is quite a bit of variation. The first few infusions frequently don't last as long.SuzeLeslie wrote:How often should one have these iron infusions?

Re: Horizant and Neupro - has anyone used these Rxs?
SuzeLeslie, Perhaps you could tell us a bit about your doses and what kind of problems you are having. When you posted in 2017 you were on high doses of medicine. If what you mean is that the Mirapex and Requip used to work, but you are now on higher doses and they don't seem to work any more, then...

Re: Two hours of sleep
jairalhill, I'm sad to say that you are very likely augmenting on the ropinirole. The reason I say this is that your symptoms are now occurring in the daytime, in your arms and you are on a very high dose of ropinirole. All these are associated with augmentation. This is where symptoms get worse eve...

Hi Jairalhill. Welcome to the RLS commumnity. Lots of helpful people here. I don't think PLMW is a sign of augmentation. Why don't you tell us a little about your RLS, meds you are taking, and how badly the RLS is interfering with your life.
