Gabapentin vs Horizant

I'm currently taking Horizant (gabapentin enacarbil) but it is very expensive on my plan ($1300/90 days). It works very well. I asked my doctor if gabapentin would work for RLS which would save me a lot of money. He doesn't think it will but gave me 10 days to try. Is anyone else having luck with ga...

Where to buy Kratom

Kratom is a huge help to me to supplement my medication. I used to buy it at Botanical Wellness but they only accept Bitcoin now. Where are people now buying Kratom? Botanical Wellness is having trouble getting a payment processor. Also, is anyone using Bitcoin? If so, how do you do that?

Thanks!

Re: Horizant causing insomnia?

I take zolpidem (generic Ambient) to help me sleep. Is that something you've tried? It works well for me. I take half a pill (1/2 of 10mg) when I go to bed then if I can't get back to sleep in the middle of the night I take the other half.

Re: Going from Ropinirole to Horizant

I only take one .25mg ropinerole each night and if I forget or am not in a position to take it (such as being out for the evening and forgetting to bring it with me) I'm in agony until a few hours after I finally take it. My dr said to never take more of ropinirole during the night bc it takes 2 ho...

Re: Going from Ropinirole to Horizant

Thanks for the advice and responses. I made it through coming off of ropinirole without much trouble thank goodness. I was taking .5 of ropinirole so not a high dose which I'm sure helped. (Actually I was taking 1 mg but only for 4 days prior to stopping.) My dr wanted me to double the dose and then...

Going from Ropinirole to Horizant

Ropinerole has stopped working through the night for me - even doubling my dose - so my doctor has switched me to Horizant. I'm still taking a low dose of Ropinirole (.5) for 2 nights before stopping it. I'm afraid of the withdrawal. My doctor said it won't be a problem but I really don't know if he...

Bringing Kratom on Flights

Has anyone taken Kratom on flights? I know it's legal in most states and shouldn't be a problem but I'm concerned that if TSA found it they may think it's marijuana.

Re: New Symtoms - Need help w what to do

Thank you Beth. I fit that criteria pretty well so it probably augmentation and maybe side effects as well. I've only been on it since Feb so it's happened quickly. My doctor is not experienced w RLS so you're right, I've got to do my homework to help him. Thank goodness for this organization provid...

Re: New Symtoms - Need help w what to do

Thanks.... I had some of it before but it's definitely a lot worse - especially my knees. I feel like I don't have a lot of strength in them which is worrisome. I'm too young for that. I hadn't thought of side effects..

New Symtoms - Need help w what to do

I started on ropinerole .25 in Feb and by May increased to .5. It was like a miracle drug. My main problems are involuntary limb movements during the night (preventing me from sleeping) and achiness in my legs all day. Moving and stretching helps but doesn't sustain. I actively excerise moderately -...

Re: Ferritin Nearing 100

My SIL swears she gets immediate relief by taking oral iron. She has mild RLS/WED and all she has to do it take a tablet and Voila! I really wish it worked that way for all of us! I actually felt small rush for the first week taking iron. I somewhat dismissed it but after realizing how significant ...

Re: Ferritin Nearing 100

TimG, My change has been so significant that it has to be the result of the iron. I used to have coffee or take a caffeine pill every afternoon to get through the day. I all of sudden realized that I wasn't doing that. I feel no need. It took me a few weeks longer to realize that the ashiness and pa...

Re: Ferritin Nearing 100

Are you experiencing any improvements to how you feel? I started taking iron a month or so ago and the daily fatigue I felt has dissapeared. It's a huge difference for me. I also have less achiness and pain during the day. I will have my blood rested in 3 months. My level was 33.
