Re: Hello, Sole!

Are you still up or woke up early? I did the latter. Working on a questionnaire as I had some good ideas in my drug-induced dreams. Yes, I was still up. My best friend has been visiting this weekend and I jumped online, briefly, to show her this board. She suffers from RLS occasionally and has seve...

So glad you got some much needed sleep last night. What medicine did your friend give you? WIll you mention it to your Doc? I've done that before. Said to the doc, "I KNOW we're not supposed to take other people's medications BUT I was desperate and it worked for me. Can we give it a try?" That's gr...

Brenda, What a frustrating experience! Many of us can totally relate to it. Sounds like it might be time to swicth DR.'s...if that's an option for you. If not, could you possibly refuse his Rx's for the anti-depressants. Maybe go so far as to say something like, "Are you trying to HURT me???" That m...

Sugar and flour do have some effect on my RLS. I've eliminated them from my diet. It's definitely not a cure but it does help the RLS, when the symptoms are mild.

Re: Mirapex Update & Dreams

.....The intense dreams continue, mostly good ones. It occured to me the other day that perhaps it isn't a chemical side effect of the Mirapex, but the fact that I'm actually SLEEPING again, and able to get to REM sleep on a regular basis. I do love a good dream. That's all for now, Heron Heron, I ...

Clara, How are you? I'm sorry I didn't reply to you sooner. I too, have been out of the loop. That's what happens when real life hits, huh? So did you up your Neurontin? Is it helping? You know, here's an idea that might help. Even though my Dr. took me off of the Klonopin, I still have a good suppl...

Hi Gene, I've heard people complain about RLS worsening in the summer too. But I"ve also heard people speak of it worsening in the winter or rainy months. I'm like you. My RLS is always worse in the summer. For me, it's the heat. The heat makes my legs go nuts. Inactivity or activty do not play a pa...

Re: Sole

I had a smokers cough to start with, which is now much improved as I don't smoke half of what i was, so i wouldn't notice a cough as a side effect. Have you talked to your doc about it? I smoke too. No, this is much different than a smoker's cough. Hard to describe. Just weird. I'm not worried abou...

Chasinsmok, (Love the nickname.) Welcome! I encourage you to do a web search on children with RLS. A couple of search ideas. Search for "RLS Child" and "RLS ADD". What you'll find it that it's very common for Dr's to dismiss RLS in children as merely "growing pains." However, the awareness is growin...
