Re: Location of RLS Symptoms Changing
But I do believe that organic, non-GMO food is more healthy (if it's truly organic) as industrial food is cultivated or even genetically modified to contain more lectins and other antinutrients. They keep insects away, making the crop more stable, but they also harm us if we get too much of them. A...

Re: Bioidentical Progesterone...improved my sleep
This is an interesting area that I have studied extensively for men, but with the same principles for women. This will be another one of my long ramblings, so you may want to stop now if you have better things to do. Aging is noticeably different in humans if you compare them to other animals. If yo...

Re: Citric Acid
From the kidney stone people: "Citric acid is an organic acid and a natural component of many fruits and fruit juices. It is not a vitamin or mineral and is not required in the diet. However, citric acid, not to be confused with ascorbic acid (vitamin C), is beneficial for people with kidney stones."

Re: Citric Acid
A few people get good management of RLS with the low oxalate diet. However there is often a delay with success due to the time it takes for symptoms to resolve. Oxalate crystals in the site of RLS symptoms appear to be caused more by the movement in and out, storage or release, than their presence. ...

Re: Flaxseed oil
Seriously, you must be trolling for attention, and I must be crazy for responding. You object to 'may' which indicates results vary, as well as ignore that the cautions listed will be a benefits if you want them to be. You basically wasted another wall of text agreeing with what you were objecting t...

Re: Flaxseed oil
My disagreements with you are based on your extrapolation of ideas, and discussion of that opportunity is long gone. Readers can judge for themselves. As for the interested others, who I'm sure have gone on to live successful lives and abandoned all interest in this, as with all supplements do some ...

Better Things To Do
Ok, so I’m going to be rude here, as you have asked me to be. Forums on the internet are mostly “I have a white car they are the best”, with replies of “I have a white car they are the best” or “I have a black car, they are the best and you are an idiot”. Very rarely you get discussions, as mostly t...

Re: Flaxseed oil
Yeah, I don't usually respond to your posts as all the information I state is always very easily found, I mostly disagree with everything you post and the usual straw man arguments. Omega 6, benefits of omega 3, dangerous? Not raised by me.
So we will leave it at that.
So we will leave it at that.

Re: Ferritin increased with oral iron, now what?
I'm not getting into a debate as this is my last post on this, but you state: 'RLS is caused by BID (Brain Iron Deficiency)' It is a blanket statement that is unproven (as a cause), without a mechanism, excludes other factors and totally defies common sense. We are free to express our views as that;...

Re: Flaxseed oil
I tried flaxseed oil but didn't notice a difference with RLS or general health. I stopped using it because it is the worse for omega 3 and can have negative impacts on bleeding, blood pressure and interaction with other medications. Although most normal people will not have any issues. Flaxseed oil ...

Re: Ferritin increased with oral iron, now what?
Very nice to see a holistic view to managing RLS in the original post, well done on your success. I wouldn't get too excited about iron, but worth a try like many things. People with autism have low brain iron (BID), also high oxalates create low brain iron which include those prone to getting kidne...

Re: Nectar bed helps sleep
I heard of a Neurologist here in Oz that recommends a new bed for RLS, type unknown by me. My response to this 3rd hand information was very negative without going into details, as I have slept on numerous beds and haven't noticed a difference. But I stand corrected, even if anecdotally. Mechanism? ...

Re: A complete RLS theory; oxalates and mast cells?
As many signs point towards some issue in the brain, it appears that research in that area is most likely to produce results... Seriously?? Two people have expressed this and no one else has commented or challenged. This is a serious wakeup call to anyone who battles with RLS. As I have said, I hop...

Re: TENS placement for RLS
I covered everything I know in previous threads, and I'm with sleepdancer2 in that I have never tried this configuration, or would. So all you can do is try it and see. My guess is this would target a large range of muscles and nerves, as a blunt instrument. Sometimes works, often does nothing. For ...

Re: A complete RLS theory; oxalates and mast cells?
. Recently there was found to be a link to gingivitis and Parkinson’s, Apologies to all, this was a mistake by me. It is in fact Alzheimer's disease. Very interesting if you have been following the utter frustration of research in this area. There are many parallels to RLS in that there was a focus...
