Re: What Choice Is Better?
Thanks a lot for the quick response. I agree with everyone that my dose is too high. I just don’t the best way get it down. I really don’t want to cold turkey. I’m not ready for that kind of a fight. I love the suggestion on how to approach this. Can someone post a link to any kind of literature to ...

What Choice Is Better?
I am on 10mg off ropinirole/day. I finally set up an appt. to see a neurologist. I have been self medicating (bad I know). I’ve had two dose increases in the last 4 months. The body tries to maintain homeostasis. A dopamine agonist increases dopamine levels. In order to offset the increase in dopamine and thus achieve homeostasis, over time the body produces more GABA, which inhibits dopamine. This in turn causes the need to increase in dopamine which is supplied by an...

Re: Augmenting
Your body has started to build a tolerance to the drugs. It’s just starting to reach the tolerance level which is why it’s intermittent right now. It will get worse and become more consistent. Both of the drugs you’re on increase dopamine levels so you will need to increase your dose or get put on a...
