You should be getting some RLS relief from the MS Contin. If not, you may have to try a few drug combinations until you find the right one for you.

Check out the Mayo Clinic Algorithm (in my signature line below) and discuss your options with your doctor.

Lynne- I believe a "Physio" is what we would call a physical therapist. He's helping Nadia with the thumb issue.

Also I agree with Polar Bear there is a very strong spirit in that little Aussie

I think it may be a matter of "awareness". I didn't know enough to look for symptoms of RLS in my daughter while she was growing up. If I knew then what I know now I would have been on the look out for restless sleep, growing pains, difficulty sitting still for long car rides, etc. Fortuna...

I'm guessing that your "porridge" is basically the same thing as the "Cream of Wheat" (CoW) that was so thoroughly discussed here. You may be receiving some benefit from the increased iron as well as from the Propranolol. The good news is that you have found something that is wor...

Cyn- I love your snack suggestions, sort of like a "bag of tricks" for the diet. One of my latest tricks is choosing a piece of fruit or a small handful of almonds when I feel like I need a snack. Then I get busy doing something with my hands. If I'm still hungry a 15-20 minutes after the ...

I definitely do not subscribe to the "it's all about will power" school of thought. It's about choices and learning to make the right ones. I consider myself to be one of those people who has no will power if it's in the house or set down in front of me, I will eat it. However I am learnin...

Yes and no. When my dh was diagnosed with leukemia about 2-1/2 years ago, and then was in and out of the hospital for 4 months, it was the most stressful time of my life. And we've lived with the threat of recurrence every since. Last week he had a bone marrow biopsy, and this week he sees the onco...
