Re: Back and neck pain and RLS

That's makes sense -.but am so afraid of the nights f agony and pain Not saying this is what you have, but look up myofascial pain syndrome and myofascial trigger points. I have them - doesn't mean yhou do - but they absolutely get worse with some exercise. They actually reduce muscle strength when...

Re: Can't take Lamictal anymore

This is Day 2 of no meds and I am dying here. Before meds my sleep study said that I was only asleep 2/3rds of the time I appeared to be asleep. So in order to get 8 hours of sleep I would have to "sleep" for 12 hours. She did say that my sleep efficiency was markedly improved started at a...

Re: Back and neck pain and RLS

If you can ease up on the exercises then you can maybe alleviate some of the RLS/WED activation? Then you can improve your core, but at a slower pace. Back and neck pain is very often caused by your body trying to compensate for a lack of core muscles, and I would hate for you to stop the thing that...

Re: Can't take Lamictal anymore

It's only the Lamictal but I have already tried gabapentin and didn't tolerate it well. RE: the opiods, I'm not afraid I am going to start robbing pharmacies or forging RXs, it's just that I know once an addictive brain gets a taste of a drug that makes it light up, good luck trying to get it to wan...

Re: Careless

There are shoemakers who will send a cast for you to mold your foot, and you send it back to them in a box, and they make shoes for you for around $500 - $1000. I wear a 5 1/2 narrow, so I know what you mean when you can't find grown-up shoes in your size!

Re: Can't take Lamictal anymore

It's an idea I hadn't considered. What could I do the other days? DA's are out...augmented the first time within 3 days, gave it a few months rest and tried again - BAD augmentation. The worst WED ever! But...it was with the same drug (Mirapex) - maybe another DA wouldn't be so bad? I'm afraid to tr...

Re: amino acids...

I'm guessing it has to do with your particular body chemistry and how the amino acids interact with it. For example, giving estrogen to a woman in her 20's and a woman in her 60's will have very different results but it's the same substance. The effect depends on how much estrogen the woman had to b...

Can't take Lamictal anymore

I don't know what I'm going to do. I've had an allergic reaction to the Lamictal I'm on and my doctor said it's too dangerous to take any more so I can't gradually quit it and get on something else. The Lamictal was my last-ditch drug for the RLS/WED. I have tried everything else except Lyrica but I...

Re: My "final" mixture and some news from experts I met

What do the numbers after your meds mean?
Hydromorphon: 8 - 0 - 8 (basic RLS + pain)
Hydromoron 1,3 mg Instant Release as needed
Clonazepam: 0 - 0 - 2,5
Pramipexol: 0 - 0 - 0,82
Escitalopram: 5 - 0 - 0

Re: Change in Taste & Smell

Hey, do you have your smell and taste back yet? Something like that happened to someone close to me once, but I can't recall the circumstances. All I recall is that it was temporary, triggered by a sudden detox of some sort (maybe it was my ex, coming off the booze??). In the last couple of days it...

Re: Change in Taste & Smell

If I were to guess, I would say it is just your nervous system resetting and once your body gets used to being off the meds, your sense of smell and taste will come back. I know when people are detoxing from heroin, etc., they often lose their sense of smell and/or hallucinate disgusting smells. It ...

Re: Ropinirole and Clonazepam works for me!

I'm so glad you found something that works for you! Just be careful with increasing your Ropinirole dose, even temporarily, given your history of augmentation. I want you to have as many years with relief as you can!
