Re: Bioidentical Progesterone...improved my sleep

Update: I recently had a telemedicine appointment with my hormone doctor and she convinced me to increase my progesterone dosage. I’m always so hesitant to change anything as I’m concerned about losing whatever sleep I already do have. I was taking 75mg oral progesterone pills from the local compoun...

Re: Diet

Beth, I can’t tolerate the traditionally heavily fermented foods so all yeast (I’ll love you forever, bread), vinegars, yogurt, etc., but also I’m finding sensitivity to foods on the high histamine lists like oranges. I was taking a vitamin C with my iron supplement and my legs went bonkers. Turns o...

Re: Diet

Pianomom3355, I just stumbled on a Monkfruit sweetener that has nothing else added to it, just pure monkfruit by Smart Monk. I react to additives, especially anything fermented, so this product has been really great. I use this one (https://amzn.to/2HxGhUr), but it looks like the company makes sever...

Re: Energy Saving Products & Hacks

Ann & Betty, I thought the brushes and application were kind of garish when I first saw them but then I read the reviews of Amazon customers and I was convinced to buy them. Out of all my household chores, scrubbing things has become the task I least want to do and my bathtub shows it. Well it used ...

Energy Saving Products & Hacks

I’m always looking for hacks for household chores because my energy isn’t what it used to be, from lack of sleep. I found something so incredible that I had to share it with you all. It’s a scrub brush that attaches to your cordless drill, and you can use it to more easily clean your bathtub, shower...

Re: Emergency Room Nightmare

Steve, I’m horrified by what happened to you. I know we all are. The only bright light that I can see in this is that your horrific experience is a cautionary tale for all of us here and we can learn from it to protect ourselves. I’m so sorry it happened though. I hope you know that everyone here su...

Re: Vitamin D3- when’s the best time to take it?

Frunobulax raises two important points...our responses to supplements and medications are highly individual, and you can find a study to justify any opinion. Google searches turn up results for both experiences. It’s probably best that we experiment, and observe our own reactions.

Vitamin D3- when’s the best time to take it?

I recently read an article that explained how important it was to take Vitamin D3 in the morning. I can’t find the article anymore but here was it’s main point...the closer you take vitamin D3 to bed, the worse your sleep. It was recommended you take it before you even get out of bed in the morning....

Re: Medical Marijuana

Wantok, your form of RLS/PLMD seems very similar to mine. You mention using THCA successfully and that it’s tempermental because it easily degrades. Have you tried CBN (for anyone thinking I meant to type CBD, I didn’t  )? I haven’t tried just THCA and am wondering how it helps/controls your P...

Re: Characteristics of PLMD/PLMs

LOL, you made me laugh Steve. I despise doing sit-ups so maybe I was secretly hoping this dreaded disease would be doing me a favor? So to confirm (because I obviously get confused)…PLMD/PLMs occur only in the legs, and has to be a repetitive movement? Does the movement always look the same as in a ...

Re: Medical Marijuana

...Anyway, I hope this isn't too confusing. This way I don't have to get up, since I keep it on the table beside the bed. I think you could also add water, tea, or juice if the caffein doesn't work for you. That’s a good idea Peggy...I’m continually tweaking my procedures as well as I try to figure...

Characteristics of PLMD/PLMs

I’m wondering if people here could please help me by describing the characteristics of PLMD/PLMs beyond “involuntary movements during sleep”? For instance, I’ve heard it can occur in the torso area and wonder what that means. I don’t understand everywhere that it can occur in the body, and what is c...
