Re: Neupro
Hi Thanks for all the responses. I wrote out a long response last night and then finally fell asleep before it posted! Hahaha of course! Anyway, I have been on neupro for about 9months based on when I wrote the original question. I take 1/2 of a 2 mg patch daily. I was told it was fine to cut in hal...

Neupro
Long time no see all! I usually pop up when something changes. So.....here I am. My WED has been stable for a long time. I was DIALED in. And for whatever reason (probably hormonal changes) it feels like I have been "plugged in" to an electric socket. So I went in to see Dr B. He suggested...

Re: Opiates and drug testing
Well I am screwed. I am a drug and alcohol counselor!! And the sad thing is that I am an example (thus far) of someone in recovery who can use medication as prescribed and could help people who may be in similar dilemma. But I don't think unless I test clean I could get hired.

Opiates and drug testing
Well one of my biggest challenges I have dreaded is becoming a reality! I would like to change jobs and know for certain that a positive opioid test will result in non-hire. I take a total of 10 mgs of methadone and 10 of oxycodone. I am interested in any and all suggestions!!! I suddenly HATE my rl...

Re: Help! My meds aren't working
Wow...none of those options sound terribly pleasant. I am peri menopausal and my hormones are changing all the time. I went on birth control to try to regulate them for one month. Then I went off. The rls started shortly after that by about 2 weeks. I also had a virus that gave me a fever for one we...

Help! My meds aren't working
I am a patient of dr B's. I have been blissfully medicated for the past year. After going off requip due to augmentation, I started using a combo of methadone, oxycodone And tramadol. I have used very low doses with just about 100% effectiveness. Two weeks ago, out of the blue, the legs got bad with...

Re: Trying to stop Mirapex
I hope you can eventually get off the mirapex. I also see dr B and had to get off my requip when I augmented. He prepared me for the experience (although not sure you can ever really prepare). He said to quit cold turkey and armed me with methadone and oxycodone. It was one month in total, but the f...

Re: The trouble with opiods
So did you run out of your meds? Or were you able to get a refill before your doctor left?

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects
And one last point...Dr B has a few interests, but one of his is educating other doctors and institutions regarding WED. It may be worth checking to see if he has a referral or database of doctors who have been educated by him.

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects
I have seen Dr B for the last 3 years. As soon as I augmented on requip he pulled me off. I asked him if I was taking a "holiday" and would be going back on. He said no, because the likelihood of augmentation was too high. I feel concern for you about the scenario with going off such a hig...

I work at a drug and alcohol treatment facility and one of the girls put her chicken in the ice maker. BAD IDEA. THe freezer smelled bad all the time and then one day a few people had chicken ice cubes in their water! Ewwwwwww
