Unless you were vomiting constantly, like every 10-15 mins. You should have been able to take your meds.
If there is an hour or two between bouts, it should have had time to be absorbed, unless it came right back up when taken.

Insomnia LPR (laryngopharyngeal reflux) At age 63, I consider myself lucky to be healthy. And, I am grateful that I am being treated for RLS. At evening concerts, I constantly had to shift my legs, which left me unable to fully enjoy the performance. At plays, I tried to get an aisle seat so I woul...

Re: Neurologist? Maybe it's not RLS.....neuropathy?
My doctor said I will go and the Neurologist is going to do an thoracic and cervial MRI and possibly my ?Brain?.....what in the world? When I was first diagnosed and referred to a neurologist, he had me get an MRI on the brain also, thinking it might be a tumor or something (eliminating possibiliti...

Maybe you and I have a back related condition that aggrevates RLS. Have you had your back examined lately? No I haven't. But I don't have any back problems. On three rare occasions that I can remember over the last 20 years, I have pulled a muscle in my back or something that left me in pain for a ...

It's been over a year since I first posted about being able to fall asleep lying on my stomach even with my legs buzzing. I'd just like to report that it still seems to be working and is actually getting easier to fall asleep. My gabapetin was cut from 300mg 3 times a day to just one in the late eve...

I'm not taking anything much for the RLS. Was on gabapentin which helped but they took me off it to see if that was the cause of my vertigo. Now I'm starting it up again. So far just 100 mg. So far the RLS is manageable without meds but I don't want to take anything that could make it worse. They d...

Thankfully no. Hot or cold doesn't seem to be a factor for me. The window AC keeps my room cool but it's noisy, so I don't like using it. It has to be really hot for me to use it. Typically I turn it on a few hours before bed to (after the sun goes down) to cool off the upper floor and then turn it ...

Opioids - any - will definitely cause constipation! Most of us increase fiber, and try all kinds of things to help. You're the first person that I've heard, besides me, who has reflux from them! Glad to hear I'm not crazy. I had to start using an acid controller when I take opioids. The nights I ta...

AC not working!
My central AC stopped working! Less than two weeks of hot weather left and it decides to crap out now. Happened at just a perfect time. I just finished a session on my exercise bike and was all hot and sweaty and my AC tried to come on and all I heard was a lot buzzing/grinding coming from the blowe...

I stopped worrying about addiction or dependency two years into RLS. If it works I'll stick with it, unless it's causing some other intolerable problem. Recently I was prescribed codeine (in place of gabapentin) which I took for two weeks and then stopped. It was causing reflux and gave me cramped b...

Hi Tracy, From what I understand, gabapentin seems to work best for people who have painful WED. It works less well for people with the creepy-crawly-sensation WED. True for me, a creepy-crawly sufferer. When I first started the gabapentin it worked great for the first month then stopped being effe...
