Re: Recommendation for RLS doctor

Thank you, thank you! I corresponded with Dr. B tonight via email and my faith has been restored! He was very prompt at responding, in fact I was listening to one of his presentations online when his email came through. What a breath of fresh air.... I have asked if he will consider a consult with m...

Re: Opiates and RLS-WED

Thanks, Views.... It was a complete let down. I've not seen any thing online (ever) that supports his view.

Recommendation for RLS doctor

Can anyone offer a suggestion for a doctor in the U.S. that specializes in extreme (refractory) Restless Leg Syndrome and is taking patients for ongoing mgmt and treatment? I am willing to fly to visit one that is up to speed on the newer treatments and has experience treating tough cases on a regul...

Opiates and RLS-WED

I just returned from a visit with a neurologist at the Mayo Clinic who specializes in movement disorders and what he told me seemed to go against the Algorythim that has been put out by the Mayo Clinic and I am wondering if anyone has ever been told the following: This Neurologist told me that opiat...

Re: PLM index from Sleep Study

Wow! Thanks, Beth. That's great information. As I'm also looking for a long term med for my WED, hopefully I can kill two birds with one stone.

Re: PLM index from Sleep Study

Thanks for the response. Maybe I can rent my legs out to a laundry service to help them agitate their washing loads :-) all kidding aside, I hope to gain some insight and hopefully relief in the form of a med that will work...

Re: PLM index from Sleep Study

That would make sense... I just received a copy of my sleep study from 5 years ago and it's gotten worse... What a fun disease (not). :-)

PLM index from Sleep Study

Can anyone help me to understand my PLM index and my PLM index with arousals? I know my doctor will be able to give me good feedback on Mobday but I am trying to do a bit of homework beforehand. Based in my sleep study I had a PLM index of 165.8 and a PLM index with arousals of 95.8. It says this is...

Re: Pain associated with RLS/WED

Thanks for the feedback. With the symptoms hitting me all the time I am trying to not only figure out what is best to take but also how to manage daytime/nighttime symptoms. I don't see any difference in my symptoms between to two. Btw, I think you also asked me about my leg pain locations. Generall...

Re: Pain associated with RLS/WED

Thanks all. A question for "Views". How do you do on the methadone? I have a feeling that this is where I may be headed. Can you drive while taking it? i don't know anything about it other than it seems to be a last resort for many of us and I have seen many posts by people who swear by it...

Pain associated with RLS/WED

I know that there are a few posts that have discussed the pain that can sometimes accompany RLS/WED. My specific question is whether or not anyone has had leg pain that seems to move around within a few select areas. For example, in my right leg (which is the one that predominantly has the associate...
