Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome
If I understand you correctly - On day 15 you plan on dropping from 2mg to 1mg requip. That's a 50% drop.
I did it very differently and took 10 months to wean off 5mg requip by very small drops, using a pill cutter, and with the support of pregabalin and cocodamol.

Re: Head roll
Slightly different..... In June last year I had a dreadful headache at the base of my skull. It got worse over a couple of days. One evening I rang the out of hours duty doctor and he told me to going to ER. My husband took me. By this time my hair was soaking wet and I had towels with me to keep mo...

Re: Head roll
It's awful that you went undiagnosed for all that time.
So many doctors are not good at treating RLS. We must always do our best to educate ourselves and be able to discuss our condition, discuss the merits of different medications. Some doctors are wonderful and a treasure, others not so much.

Re: Methadone causing Sleep Apnea?
I meant that you should have it checked out as to why your sleep apnea is so bad even though you are using the cpap. If it was me I'd be thinking something needs adjusted/changed so I'd know if I could comfortably continue with the methadone, or not. Only my own thoughts. I have no medical training ...

Re: Methadone causing Sleep Apnea?
My sleep test showed that I had a level of 20 apneas and now that I use the cpap it averages 0.5.
I can recall the waking up gasping for air and feeling for what seemed a long time that I couldn't get a breath. It was very alarming.
You need to have it checked out.

Re: Methadone causing Sleep Apnea?
I am a 74F and an rls sufferer of 40 years. My treatment is not methadone but is max doses of cocodamol and pregabalin. I also reckon I have about 90% relief. I have sleep apnea diagnosed 4 years ago. The cpap machine is wonderful. I don't know if the cocodamol plays any part in the sleep apneas but...

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome
Everyone should be wary of promises of cures for RLS , especially where money is involved.

Re: STUDY: Vitamin D Lessens the Severity of Restless Legs
I note that the 12 subjects in the study were all Vitamin D deficient prior to the treatment.
i.e. ""Vitamin D supplementation lessens the severity of RLS symptoms where Vitamin D is deficient""

Re: You feel fine and then you lie down . . . !
Exactly what Steve says above about hot water .....but icy cold water worked for me, every time. Feels painful for a.moment but very quickly eases. I used a jug to constantly trickle the water from at least knee high. 15-20 minutes and ready for bed.
