Thanks for the advice PB. I am very wary of meds that might make my RLS worse. Three years ago I was bitten by a bee in the face and had a bad allergic reaction. In my ignorance I took benadryl and my two or three times a week rls went to 24/7 and has never let up. My Dr. who treats my RLS with oxyc...

Sinus problems
I am suffering with severe sinus headaches (air conditioning = pain). I really do not know what OTC med to take for sinus problems since some of the meds can make RLS worse. Any suggestions?

runrun: I take Percoset (7.5mg oxycodone). I take one pill around 6 at night. By that time my RLS has built up during the day and I would not be able to sit at the dinner table if I did not take one. My kids laugh at me because by 9:00 I am ready for bed - especially in the winter. If I took more th...

I'm enjoying following this experiment and have upped my broccoli intake to twice a day, lunch and dinner - but cooked not raw, also not using the vinegar and oil. I used to use alcohol to manage my RLS, but since starting meds I don't use the alcohol anymore. Still, I am very interested in followin...

notnowdad - love the name: I really appreciate you posting this information. I am always trying to find non-pharm solutions to this very complicated problem we call RLS. I am to the point where I know my triggers and can control the off the wall symptoms, but I am seriously seeking relief from the c...

Zach, I lived in La Crosse once from March to July. It snowed every month I was there. We didn't know about the deep ditches on the road side (to handle the plowed snow) and the first day ran right into a ditch and had to get towed. Sooooo glad we moved. Also the mosquitoes darken the skies when the...

So sorry for your loss - especially on top of the loss of your trusted doctor. Regarding what you might send...if I were this man's parent, I would want you to send me a card or a letter telling me something you found special about him or maybe a story about him that I wouldn't know and (at least fo...

Just wanted to give an update for whatever its worth. Since starting the dextromethorphan and guaifenesin for my cold, I have had only slight RLS in legs and only after being in bed for several hours. Even then, I was able to get back to sleep with no help from percoset. Don't know if it was the col...

I take Percoset for RLS. I try to keep it to one a day at night when I can't sleep, which is every night. I keep experimenting with other stuff like vitamins, supplements and seeing what foods might trigger or worsen the RLS. So far the only thing I can really see that makes a difference is sugar an...

Thanks Ann, I found the info. I am using a generic Robitussin DM and it is working great! The first night I had a problem with my legs that my Percoset took care of in no time. Last night I had only slight RLS in my legs and fell asleep before taking anything for it. That NEVER happens, I wonder if ...

Cold remedies
This is probably posted somewhere, but I can't find it. What are some suggestions for cough and cold remedies that won't affect RLS (too much).
Any info is appreciated.
