I have a buffer stock of ropinerole which was built up over some time. My rls is 24/7 so I take my meds over the 24 hour period. However sometimes when I have been busy I have been late taking a dose, or a dose has been missed, and thus over quite a long time I have built up my buffer stock. I also ...

Hi JS, and welcome to the site. Sorry that you have these symptoms and that your sleep is so disrupted. I am UK based and had never even heard of a sleep study until I joined this site. However, some of our members have had sleep studies done and I am sure they will be along and able to discuss this...

like many senior citizens, i've been under a lifelong assumption that about the worst pills a person could take are the opioids, but i have a whole new outlook on that as well now. right now, i just want to get through a night without a 2-hour awake period. I am just turned 'senior citizen' and hav...

I also spend 2 or 3 hours each night 'just awake', mostly rls symptoms are under control, but I'm just awake. Could be a side effect of the meds. Or could be a habit which has evolved from when my symptoms were more active during the night. Good luck with the Neurontin. You will find Dr Bs book a gr...

I did have a very bad flight experience but can't say it was pain or hurting. I was on a 9 hour direct flight from London to Edmonton Canada and had just started DA medication for rls so was not awfully familiar and certainly did not know that it took up to 2 hours for a DA to become effective. I we...

I am also on a mission to spread the word. Recently I have started to play (use the term loosely) golf and some of the ladies asked me to join them at their usual Tuesday evening practice/coffee/chat. I am the newbie in their group of about 8. Last evening the weather was dreadful and about 5 of us ...

I sent an email to the column 2 days ago saying I didn't agree with the advice given, giving basic information, and providing several links to back up the information, i.e. RLS Foundation home page, Southern California Site, the Mayo Algorithm and referring to Dr Bs book and our own discussion board...
