Re: Heart Stopper: Mirapex And Undisclosed Data
So, if you are taking one of these drugs, like I take Mirapex what should I do. I hate the thought of going back to what I was before. Walking the floor all night, many times, crying. Being sleep deprived, not able to think clearly and on and on and on. WHAT SHOULD A PERSON DO??????? Or, risk a hear...

Re: Heart Stopper: Mirapex And Undisclosed Data
Mirapex is the only med that has helped me. The best I can remember is that I started taking it in 2008. I did have a mild heart attack in 2002, but no problems with the heart since then. But I do wish the drug companys would be more open about their meds.

Re: Pramipexole Problems
Thanks for the inform., medication causes all kinds of problems, funny thing is doctors never recognize it. Even when you tell them about whats happening, they never connect it to the meds. I had been falling asleep driving (I think I posted about it). Didnt drive for almost a year, I'm back to driv...

Re: Pramipexole Problems
It scares me when I read of some of these problems people have with pramipexole. I take it and have for a few years now. Memory is bad so don't remember how long. I do have some problems, like weight gain, memory but have got relief from the WED. So are those problems from the pramipexole? I also ta...

Re: Pramipexole Problems
Pamndorr: I feel so bad for what you are going through. It is so true that we are all alike (WED/RLSers) and yet all different. The only thing I would suggest is you need to keep trying doctors until you find one that will at least try to help you. I take pramipexole also. I take .25 mg twice a da y...

Re: On my third medication--need advice!
Wow, are we all a mess or what? I had WED/RLS for approx. 20 or 30 years before I even knew what was wrong with me. My daughter came home one day with an article entitled "NightWalkers", she said "Mom this is you". That was my first time having an idea what was wrong with me. So ...

Re: Pramipexole Problems
I take pramipexole, and have for about 4 years. The neurologist started me out on 0.25 twice a day. I found out later that you should be started out on the lower dose of .125. It helped my RLS about 80%. BUT, pramipexole causes insomnia. That is one of the side effects. Even though my RLS is better,...

Re: RLS I resolved mine...perhaps it will work for you.
To ktatumD1: You should email Dr. B. (Buchfuhrer) Dr. B is Medical Director,SomnoMedix Sleep Disorders Clinic, Lakewood,CA, he was, I'm not sure if he still is on the RLS/WED Foundation Board. And if there are experts on RLS/WED, he is one. He knows more about RLS/WED and what works and what doesn't...

Re: Published Research - General Sleep and RLS
My husband and I took vitamin D for years, then the study came out that it wasn't as beneficial as they thought and it was actually bad for the heart. So, since I have had a heart attack, I quit taking it. Now its good for you again. Hmmmm---now what?

Re: Surgery Needed....Now what??
Everyone gave you good advice. Just to add to and tell you my experience. I had a heart catherezation and was given benedryl, even after I told them no. That it would exacerbate my WED/RLS. I suffered horribly for hours after. Thank goodness the most problem was in my left leg and the right groin is...
