Re: Improved symptoms - what now?

I definitely recognize the jack-the-box description - that is exactly how I feel. It's how I measure how bad my symptoms are - how violent the resulting movement is. Recently I have just been moving my legs - not my whole body - and not quite as violently as previously.

Re: Improved symptoms - what now?

Do you mean that it builds and builds until you move? I mean does it go (temporarily) when you move? And then come on again? Are you saying that if you force yourself not to move it just never goes away? I will have to try forcing myself not to move just to check - it is so unpleasant I haven't done...

Re: Approaching a Doctor

It required a bit of courage the first time - it felt almost like reverting to childhood - but an additional voice in the consulting room can be invaluable.

Re: Improved symptoms - what now?

I get it as a sensation rather than a pain, a horrible crawling sensation that seems to emanate from the small of my back and work its way down my legs. It builds to a crescendo if I make a huge effort no to move and then recedes with another one coming almost immediately afterwards.

Re: Improved symptoms - what now?

Yes, I still get the urge to move but it tends to come - bizzarely - in the early evening say about 7.30 to 9.00 and then none until about 4.30 am when it starts up agaub. Often it goes away again around 7.00 am but it can last well into the morning and today it hasn't really gone away all day. It i...

Oh yes; sadly I carry that hunger emptiness with me constantly. But would have to say it pre-dates oxycontin ... excuse me while I go and get some chocolate

Re: Improved symptoms - what now?

Hi Yawny, I also enjoy your humour as well as finding your posts very informative - I was chuffed by your compliment. Here in Ireland I can get CBD oil legally and I have been taking it twice a day. I don't find it has much, if any, effect. I think I am taking quite a low dose. To make CBN I would h...

No I can't say I've experienced that feeling and I have been on 30 mg of OxyContin per day in the recent past.

Re: Ropinerole withdrawal, oxycodone, & LDN

Should have said also, It is well worth upping your iron levels - fingers crossed that it helps. I do not find Lyrica helpful for my rls - just for overcoming sleep and that seems to be the case for most with bad symptoms. I also found it affected my well-being badly at a higher dose - I know it is ...

Re: Ropinerole withdrawal, oxycodone, & LDN

Poor, poor you, it sounds like you at going through a terrible time. I wouldn't like to say categorically about pramipexole but there certainly at people on here who take it for a few days at a time then stop to avoid augmenting. I have wondered about doing that myself. I would seriously consider it...

Re: Improved symptoms - what now?

Hi Yawny, I just realized that most of the recommendations for cannabis strains I looked at were made by you! Judging by your posts you are much further down the road of experimenting than I. Are you finding cannabis generally less helpful for sleep now or is it just the decarboxilated stuff?

Re: Improved symptoms - what now?

Hi Yawny, I will definitely post my experiences with Relaxis - like you I was very keen to hear of other people's experiences, particularly given the price of the pad! But as I watch my life being 'disappeared' by RLS, money becomes increasingly secondary. I have experimented with marijuana. As I un...

Re: Hypersensitivity to Caffeine

I really hope eliminating it continues to work for you. It is tough though. I like my caffeine - would be sad to lose it. Having said that, I'd give it up in a heartbeat if I thought it'd help with the rls.
