Re: The trouble with opiods

I'm so sorry for you mess. My only suggestion is that with the next script have her write for one more tab a day. In other words, if you take three a day, have her write for four a day. Then save the extra one for this type of situation. I did this with my methadone and I'm about four months ahead. ...

Re: percocet

I was unable to stop the methadone. I have to report that I am now itching with Methadone. I think that I was itching just a little before but it really didn't bother me. Plus I totally forgot about it. My memory is terrible. But two nights ago I itched like crazy. Almost as bad as when I take morph...

Re: Symptoms worsening - HELP!

We all understand about how you are feeling. I hate to be a person of bad news, but Clonazepam and Temazepam are benzodiazepines. I believe that they are worse than opioids, especially with withdrawal of them and more addicting. I agree with the others, that opioids aren't really addicting unless yo...

Re: Trying to stop Mirapex

Did I suggest that you find a sleep doctor before? But I understand about not having insurance. I didn't have any for two years. A sleep doctor would want a sleep study and I don't know how much that would cost. My sleep doctor is the one who finally helped me with my WED/PLMD. My regular doctor did...

Re: Withdraw from Opioids...

I have fought depression all of my life, but I did not connect that WED/PLMD was the cause. I also took antidepressants a few times over the years. I did not know at the time that they made WED worse until the last time that I took one. That was when my WED/PLMD was really bad due to augmentation. I...

Re: percocet

I itch with Percocet but not with Methadone. Go figure. Percocet, along with others are made with Morphine. I think that's the difference. I can't take anything with Morphine.

Re: augmentation

There are several discussions going on regarding this subject. You are probably augmenting and it won't get better until you totally stop the Mirapex. Cold turkey is the best way. It's hell for about a week, but then starts to get better. Most people get opioids while they are going through it and s...

Re: Lyrica or pregablin

Lyrica really contributed to my memory loss plus hallucinations I think. It's really hard to remember. But I do remember it was bad for me so I stopped it pretty soon after starting it, probably a couple of months.

Re: A Statagy for Fixing Me - My Visit to a RLS/Apnea Guru

I'm so glad to hear your positive attitude. I'm sure you will get it all done. We have been working on our house for two years. We still aren't done. We are just so slow. My brother in law came out twice this month and helped. We got a lot done. Now it's up to us to finish everything. We live in a 1...

Re: Trying to stop Mirapex

But if you are augmenting that will never stop on its' own and just keep getting worse. Stopping the Mirapex is the only way. Some times you can't go back on the Mirapex ever.

Re: Neupro Patch

Yes you are right. I understand where you are coming from, but the difference is I am not exercising anymore. I just have to see what will happen. If I have to increase it again I will. No big deal. I always have to see if I can take less meds. That's just how I am. I'm also wondering when I start t...

Re: Neupro Patch

I have been sleeping lately, 7 to 8 hours. I stopped water aerobics two weeks ago. I have had several days without symptoms. I'm not totally inactive though. I've been doing things around the house. Since my insurance has begun, I am planning on going to the doctor the end of Aug. to get the Neupro ...

Re: Insurance and meds

I understand totally. I haven't had insurance for two years. But finally my medicare started this month. Now I will have to pay for the supplemental which won't be cheap. They also already cut my disability to pay for the medicare. We will have to cut back where we can. I hope you find something. I'...
