Sorry things are so bad. I agree with runkrun, I think you need to be face-to-face with doc to make doc see you mean business. i.e. This needs sorted!

I think it would be wonderful to name and shame such doctors. Also to name great doctors.

Here in N.I. we don't have any rls experts, but I can see how it would be of great advantage in somewhere lke the US.

Susan, I wish you absolutely, totally, a great appointment with Dr B. I pray that all goes good. I can't wait to hear how your appt goes. Oh... and have fun also. Ann, If I was on your side of the Atlantic I'd be straight in there making an appt with Dr B. Think of the cost of the fare as your treat...

Yes, I knew it lowered the seizure threshold, thanks to your information, and of course, knew of your awful episode with it. I just hadn't been sure that it was possibly incompatible with every type of AD.

Thanks.

Zach, just out of interest, why do you advise to stay away from Ultram if there is a need for depression meds?

Please don't lose heart.
I know you have a copy of Dr Bs book to show your doc, it might also be an idea to print out a copy of the Mayo Clinic Algorithm for easy reference.
Good luck on Monday.

Have you managed to talk to your doc about coming off requip/opiate prescription.

Hope you are getting some sleep.

I barely touched a sleeping pill up until about the last year and I am now 60 years. Increasing rls over the years and insomnia which may be a side effect of my requip meant I was working full time on maybe 4 hours of broken sleep, and this was on a good night. Doc gave me Ambien which helped, but I...

Talk about coincidence, when my son was heading for university, MIT was one of his options, but then thought it was too big a step from UK at only 18 yrs. Thank you for your thoughts Susan, I have now settled, more or less. Every now and then the feelings just get a bit strong, a bit like looking th...

A little sad

It's that time of the year. Xmas cards start appearing in the shops. Yesterday I casually looked at them, looking for one for son who lives on the other side of the world - I would be fussy about what a card actually says. We keep in touch daily by email, more than daily, several times daily. I thin...

A couple of years ago I was taking requip only for rls and my doc referred me to a neurologist. On occasion my own gp had prescribed me codeine 15mg and only for occasional use. and then I asked if I could have the coldeine as a back up. My symptoms were only very partially under control. To speed u...
