Re: detox soaks
Well it worked for a couple of days and gave me some reprieve, but right now I'm riding on 3.5 hours of sleep for the past 2 days!!! Some of it was due to stress--I think.

Candida
I was seeing a naturopath, medical intuitive/chiropractor several months ago who believed that my WED went into severe mode due to candida that had done some damage to the nervous system. For many, many years I would have a light vaginal discharge about once or twice a month. But about 5 or 6 years ...

detox soaks
A combination of epsom salts and baking soda which is known as a good detox bath has helped the WEB at least temporarily. You need to soak for at LEAST 20 minutes, but no more than 40 minutes. I'm been soaking every day and am grateful for having some extra relief. Not sure how long this will last, ...

Re: new diet
I agree. I'm wondering if the meds had an acidity level that triggered something or made something worse. But the med itself didn't make it worse. Whatever it was, it was already on its way. Nonetheless, my experience still makes me leery of medications.

Re: new diet
The sleep has been awful, but it seems like I'm calmer about it, particularly after talking to the Executive Director last week and getting someone who understands and knows what she is talking about rather than all of the clueless doctors I've dealt with. I still do a high vegetable diet and have b...

severe WED and other related health problems
This has really concerned me and as a result exacerbated the WED as my biggest fear is this increases the incidence of stroke which would be a nightmare not being able to move with WED. I spoke with the executive director 2 weeks ago who told me that studies show an increase ONLY in heart disease an...

Re: compressed nerves
The problem with getting an MRI is that they can't always tell what is a compressed nerve since you are lying down. I will say that this is a mysterious disease!!!!!!!!!!

compressed nerves
My physical therapist wants me to get an MRI in the sacral area to see if there is a compressed nerve as she insists that nerve compression can significantly worsen the WED. I realize that this is passed on genetically and will NEVER go away, but I'm curious to know if any one has heard of nerve com...

Re: Ferritin
This is certainly worth trying as I've had anemia for years and when I was last tested it was 20. That's after taking 2.5 iron pills a day. I take the ferrachel at night and the blood builder in the morning.

Re: pharmacieuticals make me grumpy?
I agree with polar bear, there are just varying degrees of dysfunction and the WED certainly doesn't make things any easier! I have the same dilemma. Which is worse the meds or the symptoms? I have not had a positive experience with meds, probably because I need so damn much of them to keep the symp...

Re: Magnesium Salts...your experience??
PS I also take clonazepam part time and it works okay, but I can only take it on a part time basis or I need more and more and then I feel like a complete zombie. More tired with that than the bloody RLS!!

Re: Magnesium Salts...your experience??
Yes, I have a gal telling me the same thing that everyone is magnesium deficient and these salts (from Ancient minerals) have done miracles. I was glad to see your post rather than invest money and time in ordering the special magnesium salts.

Re: death is the answer?
I had told people before, but they didn't know what to say and some got freaked out--even one MD. Thankfully, that desperation passed and I'm calmer about this even though I lose my cool sometimes and start crying and screaming at night or even at the bus stop--like today. Thankfully, no one has hau...

Re: death is the answer?
WOW this thread ROCKS!! I didn't read the entire forum, but I did read the first page and want to say: that several months ago (January) being an agnostic, I was trying to "make peace with god" because I knew it was only a matter of time before I was going to end it. I had planned how my p...

Re: new diet
I guess my body acts backass wards with the meds. Right now, I do clonazepam on a once a week basis because my body adapts so quickly to the drug. Seems like that drug doesn't do any harm to me ie doesn't make the WED worse so I suppose could try some of the other ones like Tramadol etc. I also know...
