Hi, Jitter...I have noticed more jumpy legs when I'm tired and sleepy. If you aren't sleeping at night and wake up still sleepy and tired, it seems you would have the pain and/or jumpy legs in the morning too. I'm 60 and have had this most of my life. I just never knew it had a name except "gro...

Pain Clinic

Ok, guy and gals...I have an appointment with a pain management doctor. I'm a little nervous about this. I know some of you go to one. Is there anything I need to know ahead of time? What to say or not to say. I know some doctors judge your problems by how you word things. And I don't want to automa...

At one time, several years ago, I was on 2 mg klonopan. And also at one time Zanax. I can't remember if it was the same time. I was able to stop both cold turkey with no side effects that I can remember. The body is a strange machine, isn't it? I currently take .5 klonopan at night with 1 mg Requip ...

Hello Scarlet, Susan's right about the sleep study..But I think RLS is listed as a sleep disorder on the questionnaire you fill out. Sounds like you have both RLS and PLM. Ask your hubby if you kick at night. Mind didn't want to tell me because he didn't want to complain...go figure...You can find m...

Yeah, it really got to me. I knew I had PLM and RLS. And I told them before I was hooked up to all that stuff. They were looking for sleep apnea (sp?) and I really think if the problem was anything else they did not know what to do. I talked to the psyh and he said I was a classic insomniac. But he ...

Poor Penguin...no one thinks you don't care. All that flaying around could not be good for you. My only experience with a neurologist was strange. It was for a nerve conduction study. It showed positive for nerve damage. I don't think he said much except to give me instructions for the test. But he ...

Great to hear you are better, Moonlight. I have taken the same med before and did not notice anything. This RLS stuff is really wierd. HUH? My oldest son has RLS and recently changed jobs. With the new one he is outside and doing a lot of walking. He says he is sleeping much better. Whatever works. ...

I just re-read your post..That sounds like an awfully high dose to start with. Maybe I'm wrong. But I think my dr started me out with 150 2xday and then upped it to 600 2xday and that was too big a jump. So we went back to 300 2xday for several weeks. You might want to ask he/she if you can start at...

Take this for what it's worth...because as is said often here "everybody's different". There are a lot of post about Neurotin on this site. Please look, because this always helps. I have been on Neurotin and am presently on Lyrica. Neither one works for the nasty urge to move. They might w...
