Also, when I tried to send the post yesterday, I couldn't use my user name for some reason. So I had to use "jumpilegs" sorry about the mix up. thanks again, Phyl (and others) This discussion board has a quirk and I haven't figured out what it is, but I've found how to compensate. Not everyone seem...

I cannot speak for Jenaflyer, but I know that I certainly am not clairevoyant. How does one differentiate you, most recent 'Guest' poster, from any other 'Guest' poster If you, most recent 'Guest' poster, are the original poster of this subject and intend to continue posting, please give us some sor...

Bed Solution

An often lamented topic in this Forum is the annoyance to spouses from the leg kicking and jerking by RLS sufferers. Due to a minor but aggravating spinal deficit, I must sleep on my back on a rigid surface. My bed consists of the normal box springs and mattress, but with a foam-padded sheet of plyw...

Does anyone know of any research done on whether or not certain ethnic groups have this disorder more frequently than others? The ethnicity subject was mentioned at the RLS conference. According to research, RLS predominantly affects people of northern European descent. Peoples of Asia and Africa s...

It was a very enjoyable experience. Very informative, even though some of the technical stuff was putting a strain on my feeble mind. Scientists have made an apparent breakthrough discovery on the underlying cause of RLS. Even though they have a good idea of what is happening in the brain, they are ...

Please understand I don’t know what all is related to RLS but these are things I deal with on a day to day basis ..........mind-boggling elaboration follows Dang, girl. You are a virtual cornucopia of maladies. I guess I won't mention that I stubbed my big toe yesterday. Don't know if this will hel...

The most recent 'Guest' post was myself. I failed to 'log in' the second time which seems necessary for me to do. I will take non-anonymous responsibility for my posts.

Kate, Kudos to you for sustaining your regimen at your current stage in life. I've always performed my twenty to thirty minute daily exercise regimen in the morning after arising. It, too, has no relationship to RLS which I am aware. It is the brief but intense physical expenditures prior to bedtime...

I submitted the registration fee but being a caregiver to a disabled wife I never know to what I can commit myself until the last moment. At best, I can make my appearance Saturday only.

should I wait and see how I react on the Neurontin alone first or take the Iron Pill

It is my understanding that it is not a wise strategy to ingest additional iron where no iron deficiency has been diagnosed.

I also am very "in tune" to other people's emotions. Jan, Your empathetic/sympathetic nature was noted early on by myself. There are several regulars who have displayed that inclination. Mostly gals, but a couple of guys too. I lean toward stoicism with both my own and others' emotions. I guess my ...

Does anyone here have a penial cyst? I found out I had a "benign penial cyst"

Uh, Jenn. I believe you meant to say pineal cyst.

Unless, perhaps, you and your "husband" are transgender role playing.

Today, I found out I have fibromyalgia as well as RLS. Jan, I was going to mention something about the festered splinter in my thumb, but I changed my mind. Having a close acquaintance with fibromyalgia, I have a fair understanding of the impact on lives, both direct and collateral. My thoughts are...

PeteB,

" I came off the antidepressants because (ironically!!!) they were making me more depsressed than if I did not have them. "

My wife went through three years of misery for that same reason.

"normally psychotic people"

Somehow that seems just a bit oxymoronic.

it's rare that I get itchy arms, and when it does happen, it's without rhyme nor reason. If it is specifically only the arms then I s'pose it's sumpin' internal. However, you might consider your laundry soap. Been there, done that. You might also keep in mind the soaps used on your pet(s). Done tha...
