Re: Medical Marijuana

Note: CBD NOT helpful with PLMD, only some relief of withdrawal from benzos.

Re: Medical Marijuana

Anecdotal success: I have found CBD tincture (with teeny amounts of THC) helpful with the twists and turns of benzo withdrawal. I believe you can get CBD in every state.

Re: PLMD and venous insufficiency?

Is this RLS or PLMD (I know it applies to RLS sometimes). I am guessing there is no info on PLMD specifically and varicose veins.

PLMD and venous insufficiency?

Anyone ever heard of a sufferer of PLMD (principally) finding any relief with varicose vein surgery? I have huge varicose veins that I have been told are only a cosmetic issue.

Re: Medical Marijuana

Hi, Peggy,
MM really does work for you! Did you get the CBN and/or muffin recipes? (I did figure a way to get the CBD Critical Mass and should have it in 10 days to try.)

Re: PLMD experience?

What does "try everything" mean? I watch my triggers, if that is what you mean.

PLMD experience?

As most with PLMD know, there is little research about our condition. I am interested in learning as much as I can about successful treatment of PLMD from sufferers. I am especially interested in people whose principal complaint is PLMD.

What medicine helped you and for how long?

Re: Alerting help (Tramadol)

I am just starting on the Tramadol and the 2nd night the Tramadol caused anxiety/alerting (?) and disturbed all sleep last night, so I am taking it at 3pm today to see if that helps. Don't know if it is helping with PLMD which drives me nuts (since I wonder if all of this pill-caused illness is wort...

Re: Alerting help (Tramadol)

Took the Tramadol ER 100mg at 5pm yesterday and all was much better (I had been taking IR and I am so blessed I have a doctor that is so responsive and helpful). Wore off a bit too early but very relieved this might work.

Re: Alerting help (Tramadol)

Thanks for the input and encouragement. I've just started Tramadol and I am hoping I can take it early enough in the day to wear off so that it will help my symptoms and I can sleep too. We will see. I did sleep in two chunks last night on 100mg (3 + 4) which is not that terrible.

Re: Opioids: sedate or stop movement?

Yes, it is much better if they stop the movements. I just wasn't sure they did and they must because people take them during the day when they have that problem. Since I have PLMD, I'm not so sure.

Alerting help (Tramadol)

I am trying Tramadol (after failing at methadone, Belbuca, Oxycontin), despite Dr. Buchfuhrer's and others commenting that PLMD (my chief complaint) can often not be helped by Tramadol. Regardless, my first night now and at 2am I am guessing from my being wide awake that 100 mg of Tramadol caused al...

Re: Opioids: sedate or stop movement?

Thanks. I certainly haven't found much on PLMD. I thought Mirapex caused augmentation? I got this from my mom. She took Mirapex. Yeah, I know about the alerting. Even the Methadone caused alerting, at the same time as sedation. I would take it before 5pm, but I did appreciate that I got a few hours ...
