Hopefully, you won't have a problem getting them to refill it. That's a lot of refills. Good for you. My experience is just the opposite. She didn't give me any refills on the Mirapex but gave me 3 on the Restoril. I'm beginning to think she doesn't know that it's a benzo. Could be wrong but it just...

I guess I'll throw my two cents worth of experience in. A few years back, before I knew that RLS had a name, I took Paxil. It was a Godsend. It didn't exhaserbate the RLS at all but helped my depression and anxiety greatly. I stopped taking it, when I got married, and switched to Klonopin because th...

I've heard of Prozac affecting many people like that. Zoloft too. Glad she had the where with all to take herself off of it.

Heron, Wow, I'm surprised you're still on such a low dose. I think it's great that it has worked this long. I'm up to .5 during the day and 1mg before bed. Hopefully, I'll be able to stay at this dose for a long time. Thanks for the update. Let me know how the higher dose works for you. Oh, I did no...

Re: Amazing

...Do our bodies require a "cool down" period of time, before our systems realize that we not still in fight mode? I'm thinking absolutely YES!!! I liken it to weight gain. It takes me three days to pack on 100 pounds and 10 years to take it off!!! The effects of stress seem to be the same way. It ...

Sudden Stress/Anger Raises Its Ugly Head

It's been addressed a bunch of times. How much stress effects RLS but today it showed itself in such a powerful way to me. Since I've been taking Mirapex and Temazepam my symptoms and sleep have greatly improved. Woo-hoo! Even with some major stressors going on in my life, the RLS has been controlab...

Hi Pat,

Welcome, even though you've been around for a while. :-) Glad to hear the Requip is working for you. It's such a relief to find something that gives us relief. I'm doing a combo of Mirapex and Temazepam and it's working pretty well for me.

Very nice to have you on board!

HI Twitchy, Sorry about the delay in responding. I had my fourth baby in May of 2002. I was taking Klonopin. I have good and bad news. The bad news is that yes, you have to stop taking it...weaning off VERY slowly of course. You'll want to stop before you get pregnant because there is the small chan...

Elfrieda, Welcome. I'm sorry I didn't welcome you earlier. Life's been hectic this week. Here's a very silly question, which you may have already answered. You mention that you don't think you have RLS symptoms, is that right? If so, how did you happen upon this site? Do you still think your symptom...

Welcome Grace. How blessed you are to have found a Dr. who is knowlegable about RLS is children. My son is almost 17 and I just recently put two and two together and asked him about RLS symptoms. He has them ALL! He told me that he walks the floor a couple nights a week. So we are just now looking i...

Clara, So proud of you for finally "coming out of the closet!" LOL! I totally agree that the restrictions on Mary are a conspiracy of the worst kind. I've never heard of anyone stoned going out to rape and pillage. Ridiculous! I have, however, met many who are helped by using it responsibly. I total...

That's hilarious! :-) I will definitely remember that one on the next girl's night out. Can you picture it? One shot of Vodka, one butter ball down the hatch! Love little pieces of trivia like that.

I haven't thought about Epsom Salts in years. I remember using them back when I was pregnant with my second child...many years before I knew what RLS was. Yes, it did help relieve the symptoms, at times. Yes, I do believe it has something to do with the magnesium because I drink the water that Becat...
